As dies the CrossTrek.

Test drove one days ago. The CVT wasn't bad really compared to what I expected. Good torque feel at low rpm given the tiny engine. But the highway behavior was worse than expected. Guess I'm used to my '02 GC with the torquey little 4.0 liter.

I love these "Jeep delays the Cherokee" stories. Jeep.com just posted the "Build Your Own" Feature on the site... so you can tinker with building all four models... even the "delayed" Trailhawk.

Not all advertised options are available yet, like leather trims on Trailhawk, skyslider did not show up, and some colors are not offered yet.

Marketing only. I drive Murano, X-Trail and Qashqai with CVT. If you kick down engine RPMs goes up and be there till I release pedal. No shifts. Fake shift need for virtual sport and manual modes.

My wife doesn't mash the throttle, so I don't know about that. However, in normal urban driving, there is a definite feel of both upshift and downshift.
