Key and Go

My 2014 TH has been near perfect for 1.5 years and 16,000 miles. Just started acting weird where randomly the Key and Go feature does not work. Replaced batteries in both fobs, both fobs act the same. Doors lock fine but hand unlock feature does not work every time (always has!) If I point the fob at the rear antenna and then put my hand on the handle the doors will unlock. Both fobs work perfectly to lock and unlock doors with fob buttons. Dealer took door panel off to check all connections and all seemed fine. They have started a Star case on it....any suggestions. This happen in all locations, no new ass. have been added to the car. any help? Thanks

Is the only failure unlocking the doors via the hand sensor on the exterior door handle (hand unlock feature)?

If yes, does the hand unlock feature on the passenger door fail too?

Both doors act the same, randomly work. If I approach the car from the rear handle unlock feature works. Has worked flawlessly for 15 months.

Well, that pretty much eliminates a door handle sensor problem.

FWIW, there are 5 antennas. Here are the locations:

#1 - In left rear door
#2 - In right rear door
#3 - Under rear seat center
#4 - Under console in front of shifter
#5 - In the trunk area on the right side probably behind the spare tire well and coming off the Trailer Tow and PEM Jumper harness.

It has to be the RF sender unit under the dash or something has pulled loose somewhere. Suppose to leave it at the dealership for a day
