Need some clarifications on package details

Hi all. Looking at getting rid of our 2012 Overland for a Cherokee Trailhawk. Looking at the packages, I have a few questions. There seems to be some overlap of options within the options and the pricing doesn't seem to change if you click two different packages, so are you paying twice for some stuff? Here is what I'm seeing (leaving out just a few details in packages).

Cold Weather Group has heated seats and heated steering wheel. So does the Leather Group. So if I opt for the Leather Group, adding the Cold Weather Group just adds the Off Road kit, heated mirros, windshield de-icer and remote start?

Comfort Group has a back up camera, passive entry/keyless go, remote start and power liftgate.

So if I have the Leather and Comfort Group, I will have leather heated seats, heated steering wheel, back up cam and remote start. So the Cold Weather Group would just add the Off Road Kit, heated mirrors and windshield de-icer?

I don't need heated mirrors or windshield de-icer. What am I missing?

Also, the Tech Group mentions Power multi-function mirrors with manual fold away. What? All mirrors are manual fold away, no? So what's the multi-function aspect? I'm aware of the other details of the Tech Group. I have an Overland and love the ACC. Just don't know if we NEED it this go around. And don't want electrical nannies keeping me from drifting into the other lane .

Thanks for any help you all can provide.

I think you have it about right. I noticed some of the same things. The overlap is crazy but is the way it is.
My thinking was that is I was going to pay an outrageous price then I might as well pay a little more and get everything.
I have used the heated mirrors a lot when they have condensation and I hate to use de-icer.

What exactly is the windshield de-icer? Heated fluid? Defrost? What is it?

I believe it is defrost in the wipers themselves. But I am not completely sure.

I was referring to the spray de-icer that I don't like to use.
I did a search online and I think the windshield wiper de-icer is a heating element at the bottom of the windshield that heats up the wiper when is at rest at bottom.

As for the pricing on the TH packages, when you build it online and start adding packages, you will see that the price of the leather group or comfort group...one of them anyway makes the price change by only $1295 rather than the $1495 that is shows. It says it in the pop up window that says it will change it. Trust me, I called it out when I was dealing with the dealer. So, it does get credited when you get the two packages that contain shared features.

Re: Need some clarifications on package details

I had built mine several times but never noticed that the package prices were different when combined or not combined. That is good to know that we are not being as badly gypped as we could be. LOL

The windshield actually has defrosters in the base of it which heat tje wiper blades up and remove the ice on them. It actually is very handy when you get mixed weather with ice and snow

Just noticed tonight, my wife's Cherokee has heated areas on the windshield. Below the passengers wiper blade, and at the base of the drivers blade along the "A" pillar.
