Oil Life Percentage Indicator

Hello - does anyone know how to reset the oil life indicator percentage? I just had an oil change and the oil life is only showing 8% oil life. Thank you!

Re: Oil Life Percentage Indicator

Found on page 351 of the 2015 Operator's Manual for the KL:

Oil Change Reset
Oil Change Due
Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change indicator system. The “Oil Change Due” message will display in the EVIC for five seconds after a single chime has sounded, to indicate the next scheduled oil change interval. The engine oil change indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the engine oil change interval
may fluctuate, dependent upon your personal driving style.

Unless reset, this message will continue to display each time you turn the ignition is cycled to the ON/RUN position.
To turn off the message temporarily, push and release the OK button.

To reset the oil change indicator system (after performing the scheduled maintenance) refer to the following procedure.

1. Without pushing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE START/STOP button and cycle the ignition to the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine.)

2. Fully push the accelerator pedal, slowly, three times within 10 seconds.

3. Without pushing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE START/STOP button once to return the ignition to the OFF/LOCK position.

NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure.

Push the ignition start button without putting your foot on the brake. The car will be in accessory mode without the engine running. Then depress the gas pedal to the floor 3 times. Turn accessory mode off. then start car. The system will be reset

Re: Oil Life Percentage Indicator

Just wanted to let all know a piece of interesting info. Couldn't for the life of me get the indicator to reset. Tried multiple times and nothing. Even brought it to the dealer and had them try. Turns out if you guys are running WeatherTech floor mats like I am, the mat doesn't let the peddle go down to the floor far enough for the reset to occur. I would assume the Husky liners would be the same, although I'm not sure that they come up under the peddle as I have never seen them. Just FYI
