Re: Panoramic Sunroof

My dad has it in his new Cherokee. It is pretty impressive I'll admit, but don't know if its worth the cost. My dad has it only because the dealer wanted to sell the Cherokee it was in and basically made up the cost.

Good shot, thanks! I can't find the dimensions anywhere, but it looks huge! Way bigger than the Ford Escape's panoramic sunroof.

Re: Panoramic Sunroof

Definitely go with the panoramic sunroof. I opened the sunroof cover the day I bought the car and have never closed it. Can't wait to open the sunroof itself.

Re: Panoramic Sunroof

My wife is not a fan of sunroofs. I too opened it just after we got it. She much prefers them closed. Two days ago I asked if she wanted the sun shade closed. Answer. NO, fine like it is. My conclusion: she likes it. Therefore, everyone will like it.

I agree with PetetPuma that it is awesome but it also has the disadvantage of taking up headroom both front and rear. If you fit under the sunroof I'd sure recommend it.

I haven't got to see one in person yet.
I do have one and highly recommend. It's cool for you, the driver, but really amazing for passengers in the back. Also, once I test drove one without after driving one with, the one without looked really dark in the daytime.

Photo attached...

Get the sunroof!

So that option actually reduces headroom?

Re: Panoramic Sunroof

For the record, I'm 5'6 and my wife is 5' nothing so headroom wasn't an issue.

But when I was looking and test driving the TH I drove a 4 cylinder with a sunroof and the 6 cyl without. Without the cabin felt dark and claustrophobic.

Decided that my list then was Anvil or Silver, V6 and sunroof as non-negotiable at all. My wife also made me add the heated seats to the list.

I (we) love the added light it brings into the cabin whether the glass is open or not. Did a 150 mile trip today to see family; loved the sun coming through, and they all commented on how nice and open it felt in the back.

Worth the extra cost to me, glad I got it.
