I am new to the forum! I hope this is in the correct section!

I currently own a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and am currently factory ordering a new 2017 Jeep Cherokee High Altitude.

I had a few questions as I wait for my vehicle to be built.

I full loaded the vehicle (except for the CD player and Wireless charger, which both seem overpriced and pointless IMO) and went with the V6.

-Do you think I got a good deal? The MSRP came out to $44,125, my price after taxes & incentives is $39,831. (does not include extra warranty cost)

-Did you buy the Mopar Max Care Lifetime Warranty? If so, do you think its worth it, and what did you pay? (Mine is quoted at $2,300)

-Has anyone had an issues with any of the features in the packages such as Forward Collision Braking, Lane Departure, Adaptive Cruise, Parking Assist, etc...?

-As I have not paid for the vehicle yet, only the $500 ordering fee (which is refunded when taking ownership), do you think I could get any freebies from Jeep or the Dealership? Anything standard that they usually give out?

-Anyone hear a difference in the 9 Speaker system vs the 6 Speaker system?

-How long do orders from Jeep Cherokees usually take from order to delivery?

-Do you think the HID lights are better then Halogen lights?

-After re-checking Jeeps website, the 2017 Jeep Cherokees High Altitude/Limited do not show the V6 as an option anymore, anyone know why?

Thanks in advance to answers! Much appreciated

Hello again everyone!

I have taken delivery of my vehicle last as of last wednesday.

For anyone tracking dealer delivery times, or that has stumbled upon this thread. I ordered my Jeep from the factory on 10/17/16, I took delivery on 11/30/16.

I also scored an additional $750.00 off due to black friday sales!

Also I would appreciate if anyone that owns a 2017 Jeep Cherokee with the Safety Tec Package could reply to this post, and let me know if you have power folding mirrors. As on Jeeps website, and in the manual, it states that there should be power folding mirrors, which to use has a button between the "L" and "R" mirror buttons on the driver arm rest.

Mine did not come with a button to use power folding mirrors, after talking to my dealer, they said none of their Jeep Cherokees have that feature. I contacted the Jeep HQ, and they stated that my vehicle is indeed equipped with them, and to verify that I do not have a button to use them.

So I am currently waiting to hear back, wether I am going to be issued some type of rebate for a missing feature, or if they are going to install them at some point. Who knows, maybe I just created a recall lol.

Anyway, if anyone has power folding mirrors on their 2017 Jeep Cherokee with Safety Tec Group let me know.

Re: Questions :)

Where are you located? I'm not seeing on the Jeep US or Jeep Canada websites anything about power folding mirrors. I did some Googling, and it looks like that feature isn't available on any North American models. But is common with European models.

There's a good thread about the confusion at Power Folding Mirrors - Page 4 - 2014+ Jeep Cherokee Forums

Basically, the confusion is in the crappy wording, where what you get is power mirrors (as in, power-aim), that fold manually. I'd imagine at some point whoever answered you at Jeep HQ will confess their error.

Brad.

Re: Questions :)

The only power to sideview mirrors in NA is 1-adjustment
2- heating
3-downward tilt when reversing
4-auto dimming (as in rearview)
Physically motorized that fold in are a common European standard.

No North American Cherokees have power folding mirrors.

Just to ensure no confusion, this is for the interior rearview mirror, as you noted.

No dimming on the exterior side view mirrors, at least in NA. Would be nice though.
