@jim383 - I've been waiting for your assessment. A lot of other people that had the R01 campaign done describe the resulting shift map change the same as you have. It's possible the TCM and PCM reprogramming wiped out all the adaptive learn counters.

Re: R01 post update problems. anyone else?

Last May I had the TCM updated. The trans overheated and died in June. My KL is now at the dealer after the RO1 apparently killed the second trans. I was getting a clunk shift in the lower gears and a MIL light every week since the RO1. The tech has talked to Chrysler and they think the RO1 actually caused a snap ring failure. Go figure!
The good is that Chrysler found a replacement and is having it over-nighted to the dealer. I should get it back on Wed. Third time's the charm or the lemon, whichever.

Ro1 blew out our tranny and since replacement now getting this stop and delay when taking off again. This jeep has had issues and have a new trailhawk arriving in next couple days Hope they figure out this problem and I won't be doing any updates like this until sorted out. Here is hoping th is good. Dealer been good as getting new jeep for cost but still a huge hassle

Re: R01 post update problems. anyone else?

so the dealer re did the update based on chryslers advice. still have the same problem. also did it in sport mode but recovered faster. most dangerous when attempting to change lanes from a slow moving lane. you pull out in what should be a safe gap in traffic only to have no acceleration then whamo 4500 rpm. scares the crap outa ya!

its more likely to happen on the first start of the day but has happened at all outdoor temps and driving times.

only a matter of time till the accident lawsuits start comin in

Re: R01 post update problems. anyone else?

Glad I found this thread. We've experienced the same sluggish start issue since getting the reflash too. My wife drives it more than I do, and she has been struggling to try and replicate it. I thought it was a 4-banger issue at first, but then it finally happened when I was driving. I think the 3rd gear sticking on the decel is the most probable cause.

I learned a long time ago if you cannot replicate it for the dealership, you are wasting your time. I don't really fault them, but Chrysler should let them charge more time to test drive when it's a "known" issue. Now that I have this description, I think the dealership will take it more seriously when I take it back in for the next oil change or recall (whichever happens first!).

We are trying to love our Cherokee, but all these recalls and other TSB issues are really giving me heartburn. We're approaching 10 months with our 2015, and it's been in the shop more times than my 5 year old Ram 1500. Not good. :-(
