Removing lower front door plastic cladding

My plastic cladding on the right front door got scuffed up and I have the new piece to put on, by looking at the new piece it looks like it should just pull off. Anybody have any experience with this?

I am very interested in this as well. I need to remove multiple pieces and was wondering if there was any info out there.
