As for the RO1 recall no longer showing up for you, I would guess that it may be that FCA has come to the conclusion that this software is an absolute disaster with public relations and vehicle performance.
After keeping my cool, I would give the dealership owner or general manager a chance to make things right. If I could get no satisfaction I would move on to another dealership as I have probably 6 within a 30 minute radius of me, each who would be glad to get my business. Dealerships make more money off of servicing cars than selling them. Arguing and attitude will never get you anywhere. The thing that is baffling to me though is that if you are a Jeep enthusiast why do you have TSBs and recalls done when you are not having a problem? You should have known that was a bunch of BS that not having R01 done would void your warranty. The only recalls I have done, even if I am not having a problem, are the safety issues like the recent airbag one. I guess part of the difference between you and me is I personally know my dealership owner, salesman, and service manger. Even though I get a Chrysler discount I know I paid a little more to do business with them but it was worth it to me to get first class service. How many dealerships are there where the owner will come out and shake hands with you each time you stop by? Like the dealership owner says, it would be difficult for him to screw you over and then sit next to you in church on Sunday. I hope things work out of you.

Once again macfan, I followed the recall card's instructions. I have never considered the word recall to be an option. When I did not get satisfaction from the local servicing dealer, I called the dealership 200 miles away where I bought it. They had me send them all my receipts, they talked to Chrysler engineers and then called me and told me they felt there would be no use in me making the trip until there was an upgrade to RO1. The trouble is that the second dealership just assumed that the transmission only had a software problem. Apparently the software exposed that this was indeed a bad transmission and the servicing dealer did not do an adequate job in diagnosing the problem like the independent mechanic did within a couple of hours.
Either that or RO1 causes the tranny to overheat in stressed conditions such as mountain roads or sandy beach. Anyway, they are scrambling to get a remedy now and that is all I have ever asked for. Like I have repeatedly said, this Trailhawk was my all time favorite performer until RO1.
That is when all my trouble started and it has consumed a lot of time.

Satisfied customers have a good relationship with the dealer. Customers that have been fed BS repeatedly, do not.
My ball is rolling now. I actually just had a good talk with a Chrysler supervisor finally after three months. When he saw the history of my case, he knew it was a complete disaster. My car is back in the shop today after a completely independent mechanic deemed the transmission bad. The owner of the independent garage was absolutely astonished that I have been repeatedly put back out on the street with this car.
All the shills claiming bad attitude can go jump. That kind of deflection goes nowhere with me or anybody else with any common sense.
Bottom line, if you cant get any satisfaction from someone within the system, get a second opinion. That got the ball rolling immediately and I have it all in writing plus video.
No, He is not a Shill, contrary to what you said.
He has been around a lot longer than you have and has been pretty even headed about things over that time.
Again, from what I have read it seems attitude is an issue and that has rubbed off on the dealer. There is a lot easier and less aggravating way of dealing with these issues. That you still need to learn. You impress no one by blowing steam and calling names.

Re: RO1 Recall

Update:
My Jeep is still not fixed but at least I have some reason for hope. After spending another 5 days in the original dealer, they again handed me back the Trailhawk and said there "was nothing they could do until RO1 is replaced". They felt that it was the software causing the tranny to overheat and disable the 4WD every time that it went off road.
At Chryslers suggestion, I then took it to another dealer who quickly diagnosed the TCM module to be bad. The part is on order, the car is in my driveway and I am waiting for this module. Hopefully it will help.

Re: RO1 Recall

Update. The TCM module was another no-go. My first trip to soft sand right after having it installed showed no change. The tranny still over heats at 192 degrees and disables 4WD, cruise and anti skid. This morning after letting it sit all night, I still had no cruise until I had just about reached my office. Then apparently the computer reset and cruise started working again.

Re: RO1 Recall

Was out of state and held off on R01 for 5 months. During that period I received several calls from FCA requesting I get R01 done, got a mailer, and my VIN showed up on Mopar Owner Connect as suggesting the R01 Campaign right after it was released. Under advisement of my service manager, I got it done last week.

R01 smoothed out the periodic 2-3 bump. All other up and down shifts were already smooth. There was no apparent loss of adaptive learn. The 3-2 downshift has been eliminated. While stopping, it shifts to 1st at 3 mph. From 4 mph up, acceleration occurs starting in 3rd gear. The V6 has enough torque to handle it. Since mine has the tow group with the lower 3.517 final drive ratio, that may account for its good performance accelerating from 3rd. With enough pedal it will downshift 3-1.

Overall the transmission performs better given the smoother 2-3 shift. While my wife has not noticed the loss of the 3-2 downshift, I did like that smooth transition better than going 3-1. Hopefully FCA's new program will restore the 3-2 downshift in some form while preserving the integrity of the C-Clutch snap ring..

At least yours shifted at 3 mph into 1st as mine shifted into 1st 2.5 to 4 seconds after it stopped. IMO a 3rd gear start was way to much power lose for me as the overall ratio went from 1st gear of 16.50 to 3rd 6.71.

Your experience with the delayed shift to first came up in my discussion with my service manager. It was one of the first things I checked after R01. When you said they were replacing your TCM, I thought that might fix it because the delay you had was crazy long like a valve hanging up.

Anyway, you're out of that now. Looking forward to seeing your times with your 2015 since it's considerably lighter.
