Why, if this is important for safety reasons, would it take FCA over two months to notify owners???

I get the feeling that someone is going to have to shake up FCA big time to get it working properly.
When they determine a recall is necessary they have to come up with a remedy, and test it.

Some people complain when they are notified that there is an issue before there is a solution. Some people want to know immediately even before the process of finding a solution begins.

You can't please all of the people all of the time.

Is this a dangerous situation?? If it is, surely their attorneys would require that they notify the owners so they will know what to expect if it happens to them. I suspect they have had very few occurrences and thus they view the risk as minimal. I still haven't seen any mention of an owner of a Cherokee encountering this problem on this forum or a couple of others.

I don't think FCA fully understands customer relations though. It took a year for them to recognize that the flat towing death wobble was a product design problem (i.e., their problem) then another year to provide a fix and that was followed by a total lack of clarity as to who would pay. That IMO is not going to buy much customer loyalty.

Has anyone had this issue fixed? We were set to buy a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited and when we went to sign final papers they said they couldn't sell it because of the recall. No fix available.?.

Just went through the same thing with my wife's 2014. They replaced valve body and a harness. You can read about it here.
