sd card help

i bought my 2014 cherokee latitude in febuary but never tried using the sd card till yesterday and all it says is install sd card. i have tried another card but same thing i am using a sandisk adapter with a 8 gb card preloaded . i must be doing something wrong ,my uconnect is working and mp3 player works off the acess plug in and the usb but nothing on the sd card HELP

Maybe you need a card that works without an adapter. Just guessing.

Also, I think I read the card needs a Fat32 format.

Specifics always help.
So, actually tell us what brand and model card/s you are using. It sounds like you're using a Micro SD card with an adapter. Probably not as ideal as using and actual SD card.

I just tested this with an 8GB Samsung SDHC Micro SD card inserted into a SanDisk adapter, and it did work fine and played both the MP3 and AAC files I placed on it. I did format the card before I put music on it, this is always ideal to do.
I formatted it to FAT32 although NTFS will also work fine, but there is no need for it as none of the files will be greater than 4GB.

Reformat your cards and try again.
