Nice looking rig. So, based on the license plate, you're a Queensland, Australia, resident. Please post a full frontal shot of your lightbar and mention its make and model. Thanks, mate. (Trying to sound Aussie.)

Re: Show me your Modified KL

Spot on with the QLD bit, Noosa Heads area for anyone who knows the spot!

The bar is an ebay special from a seller called Sunyee. Its made up of 12 x 15w Cree leds, 8 spot in the middle and 4 spreads (2 each end). I made the mount so the light would sit as close to the bonnet without touching and the base at the same height as the lower edge of the bonnet to allow your hand to slide undet to acces the bonnet release.

The mount being built (test fit)

Front on (before changing the plates)

Side on

With it on

And the result

Took one of those 4-week camping bus tours up the middle, then down the east coast back to Sydney in 1980. Looked like great Trailhawk exploring country. Also, visited friends in Tasmania for a fortnight. Amazing how their residential neighborhood in Tasmania resembled somewhere in the U.K.

Years earlier at 14, got forms to immigrate to Australia and was set to go. Pretty sure I was too young at the time.

Re: Show me your Modified KL

Would be interested to see your interior with controls and steering wheel on the right side. Been a longtime since I drove on the left. Is your gas pedal on the right and brake pedal to its left?

Re: Show me your Modified KL

Yep. Its like they cut out the whole drivers section amd move ot to the other side. Indicators and light stalks amd pedals all identical position. They do move the gear indicator from the left of the shifter to the right, bit they leave the 4wd knob in the same spot so to us its way over on the passenger side which is a pain.

Question Considering a bull bar

Kinda like how this bull bar looks, but it appears to interfere with a couple front sensors. Any thoughts or suggestions? Copied this picture from results of an Internet search.

Wondering if attaching such a bull bar would negatively impact its new car warranty?

Re: Show me your Modified KL

Unfortunately such a bar does not exist. This was a photoshop done by someone waiting for theirs to arrive.

Jave zeen similar hoops for non TH, but they are a lot more square and forward projecting at the bottom to miss the bottom lip of the front bumper. They also hang quite low.

Sharp eye. Didn't catch the telltale photo shop smudges along the sides of the bars.

Black Horse offers a bull bar to fit 2016 Jeep Cherokees:

Re: Show me your Modified KL

But not Trailhawk

Not sure if it was this one or not but saw the fitting of one like this recently and it was clamped to a clamp clamped to the alloy tube that runs to behind the bumper bar. It looked like if you leant on it it would simply fold in against the grill. Was not impressed at all with the mounting system.
