Re: Sirius Signal Dropping Out

From what I'm seeing from the other folks speaking up, it sounds like my wife's unit is a worst case scenario. Maybe I should push for a new unit. It's just to the point in our mind that you can only spend so much time at the dealer. There's a thing called LIFE going by, and I can only put so much focus on a damn car, and I think that's just what they're hoping for.

Hmmm. That is a thought. We haven't listened to AM or FM in ours. I better try it and see if we have any problems in case we decide not to renew XM.

Re: Sirius Signal Dropping Out

Chapter 5. Going back to the dealer in the morning to have the antenna replaced ( assuming the part is actually there this time). I am a fairly positive person but I am skeptical that this is going to solve the reception problem. I want to be surprised tomorrow that the problem is fixed...update will be posted in the afternoon.

No issues for me with AM or FM. Just SXM.

Don't make the mistake a lot of people do. Just because your vehicle has a TSB out on it doesn't mean you should have it done. TSBs are only to be done if your vehicle exhibits the problem. In fact having a TSB done when your vehicle is not experiencing the problem can actually cause a problem.

Re: Sirius Signal Dropping Out

Yes,I'm aware of that and I am a definite believer in if it ain't broke don't fix it. The signal drop out TSB will be addressed along with the transmission surge TSB,everything else seems to be pretty good thus far.
