Snow Plow on a Trailhawk

I just purchased my first Jeep -- a Trailhawk -- to take advantage of retired life in very rural Colorado. Being old (and lazy), I hate to shovel snow.

My technical question ...

Is there a way to mount a 2" trailer hitch receiver on the front of a Trailhawk to allow it to receive any one of the many aftermarket snow plows?

Here's a thread where a Trailhawk owner fabricated a rear hitch by removing the rear bumper and welding a 2" receiver into it so that it did not interfere with ground clearance.

http://jeepcherokeeclub.com/49-exter...hitch-fab.html

Is the same thing possible for the front bumper to allow snow plows to be mounted on the vehicle? In the best of all worlds, I'd like to find an aftermarket product, but I ain't found one. Alternatively, are there any snow plows that could be mounted to the towing hooks?

Re: Snow Plow on a Trailhawk

I have read where people are buying CHs with AD II so they can tow it behind motor homes. got to be a mounting point somewhere in front

I do not think I'd plow anything with this 2014 Cherokee!
I am not sure the framing/mechanicles could stand up to the stress of plowing.
I know even a truck can be stressed with plowing depending on size.

Yup. Plowing with a truck built to do it beats them to death. A FWD car platform would be trashed. Bad idea. Get a snow blower.

Agree - and a Cherokee mounted snowblower is a great concept!!! But alas, no factory PTO.

Re: Snow Plow on a Trailhawk

I'd be leary with the untested 9 speed transmition.

As for the snowblower idea. No PTO... No problem...

The Snow Hogg II, ATV attachable snowblower by May’s Honda

Just have to figure out a way to mount it
