Speed limiter

Does anyone know how to deactivate the Speed limiter for the uconnect Navigation system so i would be able to use the GPS also during driving, all other functions are available so why not the Navigation system??

Re: Speed limiter

You can do voice commands to the nav system while driving, but nav system screen input is disabled while in motion. I suppose it is for liability limitation. But IIRC, it is only entering a new destination that is disabled onscreen. Also IIRC, if there is a front seat passenger, screen input is not disabled. Whether you want to "cheat" the system that way is up to you.

Re: Speed limiter

Typing in an address is texting. It is illegal in many states.

That's what I expected, but didn't work on a 2015 Limited. Since it knows if there is a passenger for air bag reasons, can't we safely assume the passenger may want to type in new destinations?? Also, have had to use gps coordinates on two occasions. Not sure if that is easily done with voice as I haven't tried....

quit trying to make it 'safe' for me. Sometimes you just have to let the stupid people weed themselves out..... You can't protect against everything and at some point it just becomes silly.
