I just used sport for the first time. Wow what a difference. My new friend. There goes my gas mileage.

Re: Sport Mode

Agreed. I have the 2.4 and it really brings it to life around the city. Stays right on the powerband, no hesitation.

Indeed. Sport mode is more like a Street Racing mode....perhaps programmed by the SRT guys. I would prefer a Sport mode - not quite so aggressive.

Re: Sport Mode

Ha!,...after 6 months of ownership I have not used "Sport" mode yet.

Yet "another" feature of the KL. When I get home next week I'm keen to try it out

This car ceases to amaze me

Re: Sport Mode

The main thing sports mode has is a diff shift pattern that is a lot better than auto mode. On my 2014 trail hawk I used it mostly in town and then when i went on freeway i went back to auto mode so it would at least go from 6 to 8 & 9th gears as sports mode never got out of 6 th gear on freeway. I also used sports mode at the track. On my 2015 i really dont need 4x4 here in ca so i saved $2000 and option out the 4x4 and trailer tow and that alone saved me 519 lbs of weight. My 2014 weighted 4250 and my 2015 weighted 3731 lbs. There is also a big mpg increase with the lighter wt. The 15 has a higher gear ratio of 3.25 where the tow pak was 3.51 and i have noticed with the higher 3.25 gear it stays in 7th gear more than 8 th and the 14 stayed in 8 th as with the 3.51 its turning a tad more rpm in 7th so at higher speeds it goes into 8th. I did notice in the jeep booklet the gas on the 15 is listed at 87 where the 14 was listed at 87/89 but im still using 89 and after awhile ill try the 87 to see if there is a performance and mpg diff.

Re: Sport Mode

Used it a few times to check it out. Quite a difference in feel!
Use snow mode much more where I am at.
Usually I just leave it in Auto and let the Cherokee do its thing.
