"Stored Messages" on the dash display

I can't seem to figure out what this screen does. Is this part of the uconnect that is Canadians don't get to use again?

Thanks in advance

Adam

Re: "Stored Messages" on the dash display

It's for when you receive text messages. Get someone to text you while your in the car with your phone paired to the Uconnect.

Don't know about Canada, but here in Aus we cant use voice to text to send a message while driving.

My text messages show up on the main screen. I'm given an option to listen to it or view it if I'm stopped.

The dash mounted screen when you toggle through trip, vehicle status, fuel economy, ect..there is a display for "Stored Messages". No idea what goes on there.

This is not part of Uconnect text messaging functionality but instead relates to messages about lights, tyre pressure etc. It is explained on Page 154 of the Australian operating manual, unsure where it is in the Canadian manual but it would be around that page number I suspect. (It's a bit long to re-type all the info here)

On another note, DCRSRT, we can send text messages via voice whilst on the move but only the pre-set ones, not free-format messages.

Thanks for that. I'll check it out.

Text MSG we are the same with the canned messages.

I believe in the US you can download a uconnect access app and dictate text messages as well as other features with the vehicle.

Thanks again, I'll look it up

Re: "Stored Messages" on the dash display

Is explained in owners manual.
If your vehicle sees a condition it wants to to investigate, it will "store" the message as opposed to just flashing it on the screen.
