surf board

2014 Laredo E:
know of any roof cross bars that are high enough so the top antenna (on veh) will not be crushed when boards are cinched down?

thanks

Re: surf board

Perhaps installing a Shark Fin antenna would solve the problem. Or are shark fin antennas bad juju for surfers?

Re: surf board

I think the bars would have to be awfully high to avoid the antenna all together.
Might need something like this instead: Double Decker Surf Rack

Shark fin, or stubby antenna would be a lot cheaper if you could get away with it: Stubby Antenna

Re: surf board

I just orderd the VG Shark Fin Mark ll from Visual Garage and they were super to deal with (have not got the fin yet but should in two weeks!) It was just a pain unscrewing the antena every time I put my kayak on. Do not know why Jeep did not use the shark fin in the first place like on my 14 GC? I hope there is no loss in reception?

You just answered your own question. When exchanging emails with Visual Garage they told me themselves there is a loss in AM/FM reception in some areas.

You can put the surfboards on the side or get a shark fin ant

Re: surf board

Mopar worked/high enough. No antennae change needed.
