TrailHawks....where are they?

It seems TrailHawks are much in demand & production is slow.....go figure!
I live in London Ontario Canada (large city) and have yet to see a single TrailHawk. All other models, no problem but..........no Trailhawks.

I am into 10 weeks waiting for a build. Obviously many are being built but..... where are they going. Canadian markets don't have them. The US markets maybe.
Any thoughts???

Re: TrailHawks....where are they?

All of the models are built in Toledo. It is simply they haven't built up enough Canadian trailhawk orders to build a run of them, or they just don't like you guys! That was what took our grand cherokee 12 weeks to get built, they needed a run of a certain package to build and it took a while to get it.

Smile Re: TrailHawks....where are they?

Thanks, I stand corrected. I was mistakenly led to believe the other models of the Cherokee were built elsewhere.
It makes sense that if all models are built in Toledo then it is very good reason for the Trailhawk to be slow to produce as most consumers would be looking for the non off road versions.
Also understandable is the Canadian shipping but........ not for your reasons HA! HA!
In my case being roughly 3 hrs or approx. 180 miles from Toledo this is close for me. The Windsor/Detroit border crossing although is a nightmare to say the least.
Have enjoyed my Wrangler these past few years but more so anticipating my new Traihawk and the many creature comforts that it comes with vs. the Wrangler.

My friend rec'd her Limited within 10 wks of order. Just plain...loves it.

But............still haven't seen a Trailhawk .....anywhere????

Unhappy Re: TrailHawks....where are they?

When I was first looking at the jeep, they did have a trailhawk in stock. Also a few FWD Sports which are still on lot. Of course I wanted a blue limited. Ordered March 31 and it's still in D status. I'll be really annoyed if 2015's come out before I have mine.

Yes.......my dealer here in London had a few Limited's but no Trailhawks.
That was back in March. Seems Trailhawks are turning into a rare breed!
I assume your Limited is a fully capable 4x4 for snow and water fording.
I understand the (Thunder Bay) Fort William side gets more snow than the Port Arthur side but the Port Arthur side gets more water (flooding) Nice to have the versatility of commuting between both though.
From what I can put together on the builds it seems the non off Road versions of the Cherokee vs. the Trailhawk are being produce at a much faster rate so chances are you'll get your vehicle shortly.

Good luck & Happy Trails

Just counted on Milous build page..8 Trailhawks for Canada or at least ones that Milous has indicated are designated for Canada. There may be more?
Yes...they are very scarce here in the Great White North. Personally I feel many are waiting for the 2015 version. The first year build is always hesitant for some. Trusting that any and all kinks etc. are worked out by now.
Knowing that mine is being built at the end of the 2014 production year and going into the 2015 year is comforting in the above sense as well!
Jeep has had problems to work out of which most have been addressed by now.
Newspaper was saying how dire the rail situation is. Grain & Oil from the west taking huge amount of time & space. Rail runs were shortened because of the heavy winter creating the back log we have now. Many rail cars were taken out of service during the recession to be refurbished.
In my case here in London it will most likely be shipped by Auto Carrier seeing we are close to Toledo.
Jeep has a major player in these new Cherokee's. It is definitely a winner.
Initially many were against the appearance but I will tell you it is one awesome looking machine. It is every much a Jeep as my Wrangler.
Selling like......Hotcakes!!!!!
