And that is really the question. Do you like liners or mats? Personally, I don't like the look of liners and chose the Mopar slush mats. I think the Mopar slush mats offer more "Jeep Character" than the WeatherTeck or Husky liners do.

Jeep came out with a Cherokee specific set of these for $89. Just FYI!

Re: Weathertech Liners or Mats

If you contact your local dealership and give them part number 82214098, they should be able to order them. Also, you should be able to get 10% off with Mopar coupon or just by asking nicely :-)

Re: Weathertech Liners or Mats

Here's my experience. I had mats for years in my '96 XJ. The vehicle has over 300,000 miles and still going.

Sometimes, I would get into a big rain or snow and the carpet would get wet under the mats. Once wet, it was a pain to dry. Remove the mats, let it dry for days or hit it with an electric blow dryer. After ten years, I found rust in my floor that had obviously been caused by all the moisture sitting on top of the metal pan that makes the floor. I had treated the underside of the truck with POR 15 rust inhibiting coating and it was fine from the bottom side. It was obvious that liners would have really helped and perhaps eliminated this corrosion problem. I switched to Weather tech liners and never had to rework the floor again. I didn't totally like the material the Weather techs were made from. Too stiff and kind of stick up at the corners.

With my new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I decided to go with the Husky Xact Contour liners. I like them the best of everything I have seen. And I AM PICKY. I looked at several liners for the cargo area and settled on the Mopar JEEP one. It is similar material to the Husky liners. Husky doesn't make one that matches the Xact Contours.

Are you sure about that part number? Any research I do returns with the honeycomb slush mats which come with the Trailhawk.

thank you Sir...

checked out the husky... they looked way nicer than the weathertech as the husky seems to be using better / thicker materials...

Re: Weathertech Liners or Mats

@Tibault, the part number is correct. Here is a link for a company that is selling the mats: http://www.justforjeeps.com/82214098.html. I would order through your local dealer though :-)

Re: Weathertech Liners or Mats

I would def go with Husky floor mats, for the price and fit they are perfect! If you want pictures let me know . By the way weather tech mats do not cover the foot rest completely and behind the pedals on driver side. I believe there are pictures of the Weather Tech mats already in KL section
