Wheels?

I'm looking to replace my factory 18" rims on my 2015 Limited. Does anyone know what the weight of the factory ones are? I'm trying to keep the unsprung weight down so need to keep the replacement ones at or lower in weight than the factory ones.

Re: Wheels?

Don't know the weight but Limited 18" are polished aluminum alloy wheels, not steel rims.

Re: Wheels?

I'm a dummy here. Why are you trying to keep unsprung weight down?

Re: Wheels?

The heavier the tire and wheel combined weight, the harder the engine and trans have to work to get them moving. Almost the same effect as towing without the trailer.

Re: Wheels?

23.3 Kg each wheel and tyre - exactly the same as the wheel I replaced it with although the size has gone from 18x7 Bridgetown 225/55 to 18x7.5 Kuhmo kl15 235/55.
