The first Jeep Cherokee Latitude arrived in Tampa yesterday. It was very nice. it was lower in height than initially thought. V6 drove very well. Headroom was good without the sunroof but a bit worried that it may be marginal for taller folks. Looking forward to seeing the Trailhawk. image-3510524435.jpg image-3746072928.jpg

That is a great recipe for slow shipping.
VOTS wasn't accurate for the GC launch either. They only updated it once a day, so before you would get a second update the car was finished.

AS for filling train cars, that shouldn't be a problem. But these trains don't travel around the country with just Jeeps on board. Some stops they make are to pick up other rail cars, that could be carrying anything. Or, the Jeep cars are unhooked to be linked to other trains.

You might see an entry "engine arrived". Jeep could have all their cars loaded, but until the engine arrives it isn't going anywhere.

But they will get there, and most will be in good shape.

I don't see an option to attach/insert a pic...maybe because I don't have enough posts?

I'm 6'1" and had sufficient room up front. The salesmen was 6'2" and he just had enough headroom in back. I think the headroom up front with sunroof should be okay but think it may be tight in back.

saw a 2wd latitude today. Interesting but it has cloth seats and a basic interior and no options. On the fence seats were ok but i think i need to see a limited and trailhawk before making up my mind about what cherokee or maybe consider a grand. Didnt even have a doughnut spare just a pump.

The spare issue came up on another forum also. Looks like you only get one if you get a 4x4 or the Trailhawk. Most folk who have seen dealer stock say most are bare bones in options, that if you want all the bells and whistles it's best to place an order. Where did you see the car? I'm in ATL too.

saw it in the jeep dealer in roswell. They got one overnight but will be getting 15 more tomorrow and in the next week. They had some limiteds and latitudes (base) models on order. They are off 400 in roswell.

I guess I will fit in the front. Don't really care about the back seat.
