We travelled I-75 from Detroit to FLA on the weekend. When we were going by the Jeep plant we saw (it was dark and before 7AM) what appeared to be a huge area just loaded with Cherokees - row after row after row.
Now, when we leave our place in FLA to go anywhere the first thing we see is a huge billboard with the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Hopefully, in a few weeks my son will pick up our Cherokee and we will be able to say we own one.
I had expected to see one or two during our 1225 mile trip - but not a one.
My trailhawk is in purgatory. It was delivered to a storage lot an hour away from my dealership about a week ago and hasn't moved. It doesn't seem like any Cherokees have been released to dealers in california. Very frustrating. I have be told that Chrysler might be holding them until Veterans Day weekend so they can have a big relaunch. Not sure what to believe.
I live in the Bay Area and asked two different dealers, one in San Jose and one in Gilroy, when they would get in their Cherokees. They said that the Jeeps weren't coming in to the dealerships until Nov 11 - 12.
My baby has arrived. And dam she looks good.. There are going to have clean it good because it is very dirty...... The waiting is over. To bad my sales guy is off today. I will pick it up tomorrow and will post pics and comments....
I will say one thing . The customers were on it like flies .... One guy was ready to buy it and I just blow up his head when I told him it was sold..... I am coming back for it tonight.
Anyone know if cars get transported during the weekend? Either by train or truck. I have still have hope, which I'm sure will be crushed by this time next week.....lol
They are shipping 24/7, as soon as they pass the test track, or roll off the line. No idea what's holding up the West Coast deliveries. It's only 3 day's in a semi from NW Ohio to Sactown...I know from personal experience.
Saw my first Cherokee today in a dealer lot 20 miles North of Green Bay Wi. Now I want my Cherokee out of parking lot purgatory in Toledo OH. Plus I saw another one in a dealer lot in South Saint Paul Mn. #shipmycherokee
So the dealer told me Selkirk NY is the last stop before it gets to CT. I'm like how long do you think.."well..I hope it's get here this month, but I honestly don't know"...it's not a customer order, so who knows when, I hope being a dealer order doesn't slow it down. it's so hard to wait and be patient when there is one sitting there. Granted not 100 percent the one I want but at this point. I would hope it's not gonna sit in New York for a month.
So all the dealer in RI and CT have anywhere to 1-10 vehicles depending on the dealer. They all to seem to have the same vehicle, latitude with comfort and conv package at 29,880 and a limited for 37k and nothing in between. I'm wondering if jeep sent these specific models for "first models" for everyone to see. My dealer still only has one...wonder when we are gonna see them come in volume and different trims. My dealer said he order 10 which are built and sitting in a train yard somewhere.
A dealer friend (not Jeep) called me this morning. He got a fully loaded 2013 Lexus RX 350 from Manheim Auto Auction for $38,000. He will sell it to me for $38,300 if I agree to take it by Monday evening. If not he will put it on his lot for $42,990. I don't know if I can pass that up. I have waited toooo long to drive a loaded Jeep Cherokee Limited. :slapfight:
They are starting to arrive in Idaho. Looked at a Latitude at dealers in Nampa and Boise. Did not drive one but I liked the seats and it was easy to get in and out of. (one of the things I love about my PT Cruiser and hate about the Dart.) I want to look at the Vesuvio interior.
I just picked up my limited with the indigo blue and it is buetiful . It is a dark blue. The pictures that you see in the internet are not accurate .. They look light .. The car looks great . I love it.
