I ordered my AVS in channel from Autoanything yesterday for 59.99 and they had code of AA15 for 15% off so saved another $9.00

Re: Wind deflectors

AVS in channel deflectors. Rec'd and installed. Didn't have any particular problems w/install. Pretty straight forward. Windows up and down w/no binding.

See how they last.

Kell.......Can you give a little more detail on how the shims were used?
What did you use for shims?
After the deflectors set, were the shims still needed or could they be removed?

Pics of shims and placement?

Any additional info would be appreciated.

Thanks much
Steve
I'll put the answers all in one spot instead of three different posts. The shims are the wooden kind that you can get at any hardware store. That is where ours came from. The shims were removed after the deflectors set. There was some rubbing at the front and back of the rear windows. One window was fine after one round of the shims, the other required two sessions. Pics are attached. Hope this is helpful

Re: Wind deflectors

I ordered and received the front deflectors from Weathertech. They are available in light or dark tint. Shipping was fast to northern Vermont, 2 days with fedex ground. They are very easy to install. The printed install instructions make it look harder than it is. Maybe two minutes to install them. My KL is anvil color and the dark tint looks great.

Re: Wind deflectors

I had the same binding issue with AVS at the 'B' pillar, both front and rear. I used the shims overnight and all seems to be good now.

Smile Re: Wind deflectors

Have been able to obtain front set only from Weathertech. Look & work great. Installed on a Limited & a TrailHawk. They fit both perfectly!

Re: Wind deflectors

I just ordered my complete (front & back) WeatherTech set today. The others didn't seem to offer as much coverage. I do smoke (boo) and the ashes blew back in pretty badly. Also in a decent rain, they would still drip on in.

And you can guess what DW means. It is RV lingo. We never heard these terms until we got our first MH 11 years ago.
