FYI....did a little quick average on Australian CRDs. The time from D1 status to Railcar unload at the US shipyard averages 26 days with a min of 14 and max of 50. If I throw out the highest and lowest, its 22.7

Now, how long til D1....

I am assuming you meant "Now" to send...

P.S. Are you in the Borough of North East which is really in the North Western part of the state?

Or, are you in the North Eastern Part of PA?

I had a friend from North East, and I have stayed at the Westfield KOA many times. Beautiful part of the country.

A Des Moines dealer is ordering diesels. They accepted my 1% below dealer invoice coupon from Tread Lightly membership but offer no other deal. Not sure where to go from here. I've waited so long, maybe waiting a little longer may be the right choice.

Just buy the car out of state.

Check out this:
CarMax Des Moines
10315 Hickman Rd
Urbandale, Iowa 50322
(515) 276-4267

Get a quote for your trade in then get a price from CarMax Jeep in Norcross, Georgia for your New Jeep.

Norcross CarMax
1975 Beaver Ruin Road
Norcross, Georgia 30071
(770) 263-8808

They have a 2014 JEEP GC Overland on their website at 3.5 below invoice. Also, no doc fees or any other B.S.

They do not negotiate.

They will do business over the phone and through email I believe.

Then, take a little trip to Norcross to pick up your new car.

Silverdiesel has a spectacular aura about
Re: 2014 diesel production

Lots of lurking and finally pulled the trigger and now awaiting VON. Ending up using Tread Lightly Affiliate Codes so getting a percent or two under invoice.
14' Overland with QTAII, tow package and the advanced tech group. White with blue/dark brown.

Funny thing though did this with dealer #3 as the other two acted like Jeep will never have a diesel available! I am working here in Phoenix with Bill Luke CJD truck fleet sales, Wendy and she is refreshingly no nonsense. She was emailing me asking for my business first thing Friday morning.

Me? No way new to Jeep and this will be my second VM Motori. Got 160,000 happy miles on my first VM Motori model 428 in a 2006 Jeep KJ Liberty CRD. I cut my teeth on this Jeep diesel and have detailed knowledge on this motor good and bad. From turbo problems to new redesign metal glow plug replacement to thermostat/ fan clutch/ viscous heater scenarios to CAC hose failures to fuel delivery and filter issues. But this is the by far the neatest SUV I ever owned as it gets 32MPG on a good day. And it is fast as he!! Off the line.

So I know What I can expect out of WK2 Ecodiesel and know what to look for and hopefully ward off problems before they get too big. And yes I know new factors like the DEF/SCR and DPF involve close attention. Couple that with the fact that US diesel is basically garbage and things like the CP4 and those new style BOSCH solenoid injectors and how they are going to fare. Let's not forget the properties of Biodiesel and it's propensity to stick to the cylinder walls and dilute the motor oil.

Well I await my VON and my new Italian motor!

Roland

So from D1 to dealer should be 2 to 7 weeks. Thanks for the research. Now anxiously awaiting time to D1 possible range.

Anybody out there who ordered a hemi on the first possible day remember how it played out?
