Re: 2014 diesel production

Yeah, the info I provided was correct, and whats listed on the tracking post is correct. The VON still doesn't show up on the VOTS website, but there's still a few days left in the week.

Acilate,

I have a theory that VONs are processed in numerical order to "Pre-Release" and then Scheduling is done arbitrarily from the pool of Pre-Release orders.

In fact, I've done some analytics on D1 and KZ dates. It appears there is a correlation between paint colors and Release dates but not Trim Levels. Coincidence?

So what was the time of day and time zone on 8/9/13 when you got your VON? I got mine at 8:01 a.m. CST and my VOTs email went out very early.

I suspect they are either still processing in batches of VONs or production allocation is filled for August. How can we find out?

Uh oh...I wonder if the other 4 that didn't move to Pre-Release where late in the day? Let's hope they process more tomorrow at 8:30 EST.

i answered this in the other thread, but I will post it here as well. VON Numbers, VIN Numbers and Paint/Batching have nothing to do with production scheduling. Chevy and Marlon have confirmed this many times that any patterns you see are simply chance... Whether an order gets moved ahead at this point is all about allocation. I have posted my comment below.

If you are one of those people whos order does not move forward in the first cycle (Commando I know yours did) your dealer may not have gotten allocation. They can call their rep and find out why.... Dealers could have had the conversation with distribution in advance of the orders and leveraged themselves the allocation if they ordered other products at CDJ request. Either way, they likely know they don't have allocation and can find out when they will get it (or what they need to do to get it)

Also just a note, if your vehicle does not make it to "Pre-Release" don't bug Milous on that, it is entirely your dealers allocation that decided that and as the Factory doesn't have your order in hand Milous won't see that. I do see people ask why it hasen't got there all the time and this is in the hands of central distribution and not the factory.

FYI just to save some questions.

Does anybody know if VON numbers are specific to JGC's or are they for all Jeeps/Chrysler's vehicles etc? I counted approximately 35,000 VON numbers between 8/9 and 8/12 when I ordered.

Every order to CDJ gets a Vehicle Order Number (VON) Even if it never gets built!!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Got my confirmation from Jeep this morning, 6:30 AM Mountain Time, showing production scheduled and a VIN! Also got a picutre of an assembly plant with a note that it may or may not be THE assembly plant.

I, too, got a status update to "Production Scheduled" along with my VIN yesterday. Can't wait.

Cool! I was worried that there were 35k JGC's in the que before mine! @ 1200 a day, 6 days a week, that's almost 5 weeks of production...

Re: 2014 diesel production

Happy days are here again...I never got my VON from the dealer, even after asking what the status was, but I got my VIN from Jeep this morning. Dancing in my chair, thankfully not a lot of people in the office today to see
