Per Milous in another thread, it could be complicated to add after the fact.

I downloaded the 2014 JGC owners manual 3rd edition, but it only has the 5.7 and 3.6 gas engines. Is there one out yet that includes the diesel? Thought I'd start reading the 600+ page manual while I'm waiting for my CRD.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Factory service manual CD for my '12 includes the CRD. Apparantly they still have not fixed so you can use on a modern PC - Windows 7 with IE 8 is the latest that displays the SVGs.

ps Just sent another e-mail asking tech-authority asking when this will be fixed.

This users Guide has the Diesel:

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT User's Guide

EDIT: They did misspell Pennzoil. They have "Penzoil Ultra Euro L full sythetic 5W-30 motor oil". As I pasted this I also see they misspelled Synthetic. I already have my source for 8 Quarts of this Oil.

Also for many manuals here is a good place to start: Index of /jeep/download/pdf

The current OWNER’S MANUAL still doesn't show the diesel.

I talked with an early purchaser in June and there were areas of the manual that were completely wrong. One thing was the procedure to put the Transfer case into neutral.

Hopefully by the time it shows up they will have fixed that.

Chivvalry is right. It is an $80 part; your dealer can add it. No problem. I couldn't put my finger on the exact part number though. The part should be in the parts dept. database at the time of delivery.

According to the Jeep User Guide in the Diesel engine section, it doesn't appear to be a big issue to get the cord:

NOTE: The engine block heater cord is a factory installed option. If your vehicle is not equipped, heater cords are available from your authorized MOPARŪ dealer.

Wonder why they have both this User Guide and the Owner's Manual?? The UG seems to be more of an overview with the OM providing more detail, but still seems redundant to have both.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Since the first CRDs are already in production, I'm wondering when we will see the official EPA MPG-numbers..

I was in the same boat, I contacted my dealer and he called his regional rep and he was able to add it. and my Jeep was in pre release status. I would call them back and ask them to contact thier rep.

Good Luck
