The JGC CRD should easily exceed the EPA mileage ratings after break in. Gas burners typically underachieve and Oil burners do better....at least when either is driven conservatively.

Re: 2014 diesel production

So anyone understand why mots says I am "Current Status: Pre-release 08/15/2013" but vOTS says "CURRENT VEHICLE STATUS : Production Scheduled
Your vehicle order has been verified and is scheduled to be produced in our assembly plant"

Doesn't the latter mean I am d1? Maybe I am just confused on the terminology?

Either way getting excited to receive my unicorn that feeds off skittles and shats M&M's. or is it the other way around?

Similar situation here. MOTS showing pre-release, VOTS showing frame complete, and currently in paint.

Maybe PM Milous and verify your VON etc???

I know what he looks at is ahead of the VOTS curve usually.

^^^ exactly what I have experienced. The 3 liter diesels I have driven have been able to exceed the highway mileage and at higher speeds (in other words, you can still drive like you enjoy it . )

I'm sure that is going to be the case. Still curious though what these ratings are going to be in the first place..

Re: 2014 diesel production

So in the User Guide under the remote start section it mentions:

Quote:
NOTE:
For 3.0L Diesel Engine, please refer to Things To Know Before Starting Your Vehicle
located in your Diesel Supplement.
Anyone have any idea on how we can get our hands on this 'Diesel Supplement?' I don't see it on wk2jeeps.com

I found this at Chrysler TechAuthority ll " 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel Owners Manual Supplement (English)" for only $36. I looked on WK2 and didn't find anything, and did a quick search for a pdf but only found links back to the original @ Chrysler. I want to read this to help me while I'm waiting for my Limited CRD to be built.

wouldn't be the first time we seen a reference to something that doesn't exist yet
