Right, sounds more like an increased volume of manufacturing and the inability to get some products made to put IN the vehicles.

Since you say it is not the tires, I am trying to decipher your previous post.
Possibilities include:
1. Radio/U-connect problem?
2. Seat problem?
3. Some sort of fluid issue?
4. All the workers at Jeep are off at the ballgame

Maybe someone else is a better detective at trying to figure out the clues. This is the best I could come up with.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Maybe the new TFT LCD Displays, a problem with them? They are new and in lots of cars use them. If they fail, no info to the driver. No Speedometer, gear indicator.

I have been thinking of all the new stuff in the car. Transmissions not the problem, whats left...

I won't go so far as to name the (alleged) supplier, bc I've heard 2 different names. The general consensus seems to be that one supplier builds the brackets or something, while another finishes the seat assembly. I'm not sure which does what and which one is striking, so I won't name either.

But yes, we're out of seats bc of a strike.. The irony of it is that Excusion and I were just talking abt supplier delays in the other thread, and how JIT supply can bite you in the arse. If there was more stock built up on hand, or in transit, then maybe we could've maintained production until they sorted out the dispute.

So basically now we just sit and wait.. Or stand. Cause ummm, yea... Bad joke. Right.

Btw, good job Rodman.. I always like when the new members figure things out that seem to stump the vets.

From the ultra reliable rumor mill Topix:
---------------
"JnapA5 | 15 hrs ago
The problem is seats.

I dunno anything about a strike...

Magna is having issues getting seat FRAMES in. So whoever supplies the seat frames is who we need to talk to."
-------------

Possibly Johnson Controls or MIG makes the seat frames. I can make some phone calls Monday.

. Googled JNAP Strike and came up with the same hit that ExcursionDiesel Posted...so I guess I cheated

Anyway...glad to know what it is now...thanks for the heads up and the confirmation. At least now I dont have to numb my fingers with the refresh key on MOTS every 5 mins until we get more updates.

So, just to confirm, this affects all vehicles that have not been built yet? or those that went in to D1(with and estimated delivery on MOTS) after a particular date?

All cars.. Irregardless of trim, powertrain, color, blah blah blah... They all need seats.

Edit: As for who's car may have slipped by before the delay, I'm not sure.. I got kicked out of the tracking thread when my subscription expired, so I can't see dates and stuff anymore. Lol..
