Remember both MOTS and VOTS are not updated immediately, (like every 6 or 12 hours), however when your status changes to "D1" the email goes out immediately.

Was the second email different than the first?

Here is the first email quoted incase you delete emails. I never delete any.

The first email is the same as yours, "order being processed". The second is "production scheduled".

You are at "D1", no doubt; with any luck, Milious will update HOTS (His Order Tracking System) with your estimated delivery date shortly.

But remember, on MOTS Shannon went from pre-release to Built. Also, I don't think VOTS shows any difference between "D" and "D1".

Mine showed pre release in MOTS until it hit final inspection. MOTS will really help show everything from this point forward. VOTS showed mine in paint for 10 days. If you got the e-mail, you are probably in D1

I'm in the exact same scenario. VOTS says "Production Scheduled", MOTS says "Pre-release", dealer says "D1".

The two systems really don't have much to do with each other.... I believe VOTS says information that is in theory happening but it is not exactly to the second where your vehicle is. MOTS on the other hand won't show something like Paint but will show when your vehicle actually hits inspection. Really as all of the build stages can take place in one day VOTS just gives you one day worth of actual build status (or will tell you your vehicle is being painted for two weeks)

MOTS however will follow your truck as it is loaded for transport and is checked at various points along the journey to you... this happens over several days and is way more useful information.

So to sum it up VOTS really only has one advantage... 24 hours worth of hour by hour build status that doesn't even seem to be accurate. So I don't even care about VOTS....

MOTS tells me when my vehicle has been scheduled and when it is built plus the journey home. What more could you want?....to sit with Shannon and watch paint dry

Re: 2014 diesel production

Yeah, after I heard how long Shannon's Jeep was in paint, I was scared to touch it, could have still been wet.

MOTS cannot track anything past D1. I found out a few new "codes" in our computer system for tracking vehicles in the plant. I found out that there is one more that shows the exact time it went from body to paint to trim to chassis to final to rolls, etc etc etc... reprocess, blah blah blah.

But nobody I've talked to knows how to access that. Oh I'll find out.
