Dealers telling you what you want to hear (often wrong), and VOTS being almost worthless (i.e.: in paint for 10 days, and I only got one e-mail during the whole process, and that was the first e-mail everyone got) It is really refreshing to get some inside information. It makes the buying process more personal, and it makes me feel more comfortable with my purchase knowing that there are people building my Jeep that are looking out for me. Again, I want to thank everyone working at JNAP for your help. You guys are awesome!!!
Ditto and very well put, Shannon!

Sorry, I missed you in that list I did a few days ago for some reason, it looked like I stopped after stoots.

Currently there are 16 on MOTS who ordered 8/9 that are not listed as "D1" yet, myself included. One has yet to go to pre-release yet.

Also, keep an eye on VOTS because it was Shannon's only indication there was any movement. Shannon went from Pre-release to built on MOTS and never got the second email.

Not a problem. I just signed up for MOTS I believe on Monday. I just called my dealer and had them look up my order in Chrysler's system, and it says it's in D1. This is perplexing.

I have said this before, don't trust the dealer. Call 1-800-992-1997 and press 6 I think. They will tell you of your "D" or "D1" also you should have got a second email that says your scheduled...

"The 3.0-litre V6 diesel, now tweaked via the addition of piezo fuel injectors and claiming 184kW and 570Nm, delivers effortless even punchy performance combined with decent refinement".

There is also mention of a stretched 7 seater version of the Grand to come out in 2014. It is to be called the Grand Wankoneer Wagoneer.
I have read other published reports that said it had piezo injectors but everyone here said no. Also the editor of the magazine has yet to back up his claim with anything substantial. Milous' data was very specific it was the Bosch CRS2 system which is Solenoid not piezo. I am happy with the solenoid but eventually the piezo will come and we won't have a choice. The parts dept. might be able to answer this question now: CRS2 or CRS3? 2015 maybe CRS3??? But my current belief is CRS2.

I'm so with you Chevy. I never understood why auto companies shun their enthusiasts. Look at Apple. They cultivate crazy fanboys, and it does them wonders of good.

Also, I suppose it is possible that the exports have piezo now. The only reason for that would be to test untested technology in an established market. Regardless, both systems would be 2000 bar, the only difference are the injectors all the other components are the same ie the pump dist. Rail and even the control module. CRS3 may operate on 2500 bar in the future but not now.

Side note: many non dealer repair shops don't have above 1600 bar meters. Meaning, without upgrading their tools they can't work on these new diesels.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Can I ask you guys a question?

Why is everyone so obsessed with D1 status?

The only status I really cared about with my Dart was E. Screw B-D.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I would guess because that is when you start to get estimates on delivery.

A document was produced stating that the current solenoid injectors tolerate ULSD better. I don't remember the source. Having a rash of failed injectors at this time, when Americans may finally be ready for diesel, would be a major setback.

I appreciate your doing the list. I also appreciate the "Honorable Mention" as that was me. My dealer confirmed with his rep that the order was taken. I guess I won't panic until everyone else is in D1 and I still am not Pre-release yet.
