I guess the "ORAII" package is holding me up.

Maybe I'll go to D1 later today...

I forgot to send Milous my order date, but it was 8/10, so hopefully all you that order on the 9th are in D1 by now.
14 of us on MOTS that ordered on DAY 1 are not at "D1" yet. The list keeps getting shorter though. I might go to a fast food place for lunch. At least there, someone will call my number.

Edit: Changed the count to 14, recounted..

Just to save you from constantly having to check, D1 updates only happen once per day (morning-late morning).

Can I go to "D1" on a weekend?

I doubt the color is holding you up just as I doubt the ORAII is holding up others. The EcoDiesel release has been pushed back month by month since March. Many people have been interested in buying one, and since it keeps getting delayed, this list of people wanting one keeps growing. Now that production has started, I am guessing it will take at least a month (or two) to get caught up with the onslaught of initial orders. Pius the dealers are screaming for them to be on their lots. This is going to be the hottest vehicle of the year, so it may take a little time to get caught up.

Sorry man, I must have missed that post.. (And Marlon is asleep at the wheel per usual.)

Anyway, as Shannon so eloquently stated, color has nothing to do with it.. We've got all the colors on hand. And there's no color sequencing going on that would make a less popular color the odd man out when other colors are running heavy.

So hypothetically, even if your's was the only True Blue on the production schedule, that wouldn't have any bearing on what place it gets in 'line.' That might indicate that they need to discontinue and/or replace that color, but that's not the case.. True Blue is a pretty decent seller.

No problem, thanks for answering! I just wanted to make sure my post didn't get lost in the shuffle.

Ok, since it was only myself and one other person on this forum that ordered True Blue I thought that might be it. It must be a marketing area decision delaying my D1 date then.

I am a little surprised, do you not run a certain color on certain days? Or do you have the capability to switch out paint colors very quickly? Just curious.

Yeah, I understand. Just trying to figure out why I am one of the few people who ordered on 8/9 that still does not have a D1 date is all.

Since yours was in paint so long, are you curious what color it actually turned out to be?

Color schedules are pre-programmed into the system just like everything else.

But to answer the question (I believe) you're asking, yes cars in a sequence can be painted different colors without delay.. They don't have to run all red one day, then black another, and so on.. Or even red for half a shift then sumn else the next half. Nope.. One car can be red, then maybe 3 black, 2 blue, 7 white, etc. You get the point.. Whatever the computer wants, the computer gets.

So like I said, in a shift they could run 600 cars thru paint, 599 not being True Blue, and throw yours in there somewhere, and it wouldn't miss a beat.

My guess is just luck of the draw. WIth all the people I see moving to D1 (Congratulations to all of you by the way), I am guessing yours will be there very soon. With most of us waiting for over 6 months for this unicorn to come to fruition, it will take Jeep a few weeks to get caught up on orders. As far as my color goes, it will be Billet Silver - the "wet" look
Will keep my fingers crossed for you that you will move to D1 early next week (per Marlon, no D1's on Saturdays). Good Luck
