Re: 2014 diesel production

For those who may be able to take advantage, the rules of the latest cash allowance (39CE5) is attached. Apparently, the allowance covers any Grand Cherokee except SRT. Jeep.com indicates delivery by 9/30 is required.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Another week down without any movement on my order. =\ Each day that goes by, I consider canceling my order and re-submitting with the indigo/brown interior and engine block heater. Maybe I'll have to wait another month, but at this point, it seems like it might actually be faster.

I have said before and people argued with me, but I think the Black will hold up better over the long term. Oily stains don't show up on black. Also, a black interior won't look dated. I like the indigo/Brown as well, but no matter what the interior is like you will get bored of it. The black interior is boring from the beginning so the novelty won't wear off. My tan interior on my Jetta looks dirty and no amount of cleaning will make it look new. I had a black interior GMC Yukon Denali Lease, when I traded that in, it looked as good as the day I got it.

Also, on the the block heater, the dealer can add that. I added that because it is a 4x4 and 4x4's sell where it gets cold. I'm thinking, right now, how to run a cord out from my hotel room outside Boston this Christmas season.

On the subject of religious holidays, to all the people of Jewish faith out there, happy new year.

The pdf says it ends 9/16. I might make 9/30 with some luck but I doubt 9/16 as my scheduled delivery is 9/12 and I know it won't come by then. Do we know for sure whether it is 9/16 or 9/30 for when you must take delivery?
Thx

I totally agree. I was seriously considering the Indigo blue, but I think it is more of a casual look, where the black is a more classy look IMHO. I think the black will hold up better in the long run, and the stitching on the brown dash will reflect more off the windshield than the stitching on the black.
As far as the engine heater, I believe every one off the line has one installed, but you pay the 95 (85 invoice) for the cord. The cord can be added at the dealer. If you live north of the Mason Dixon line, I suggest getting the cord for the block heater.

Re: 2014 diesel production

My crd has bern sitting at the production scheduled bit now since August...

At first, i had been wondering if it was regional. Now, i think i know why...dealer ordered the mopar appearance group (I didnt want it in the first place), and I didnt catch it until now.

Is that something that can be omited at this point since I have a VIN? Not sure why they issued a VIN when the mopar stuff is delayed indefinitely.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Today is the day that is supposed to be the scheduled delivery. Still sitting in a bay in Detroit. Unless they ship it in the next 5 minutes, put it on a non stop high speed train, have the dealer personally pick it up at the rail yard in Houston, and have the dealer stay open till midnight, it is not happening today.
