No ones fault but Overland was more popular and the overall build mix for total vehicles shipped is likely saturated on Overland (not just to do with Diesel). That is a guess based on past experience.
Thanks for the info but I was being more of a petulant child. I wasn't wondering why Overlands were moving more slowly than Limiteds, I was wondering why I wasn't among the 12 who have reached D1.

I know there likely isn't a reason, or at least one that people here would know and/or comment on. Mostly just trying to occupy myself while waiting. And also putting in a few posts between Shannon's regular posts saying he hopes his is ready in time for his vacation.

I know that nobody really knows how things are scheduled, but any wild speculations as to why I haven't hit D1 yet? Seems like the Bay Area would be one of the target markets, and I think Milous at one point said he expected CA in general to be considered one of the top targets. I ordered as soon as was possible on 8/9 and from a dealer that does a fairly high volume (from what I can tell) of JGCs.

Maybe it's because I don't post enough?
I'm in the bay area as well, and have not hit D1 yet. Perhaps that estimate that California would be high on the list was backwards

Either way, I hope we both hit D1 soon!

Good to know about mopar being dealer installed. Load off my mind.
I'm in WA, went D1 on 8/30. Ordered two days (8/12) after temerarius (8/10) and I've pulled ahead. I ordered a summit -he ordered an overland. Maybe that's the difference. Not sure why JRM hasn't gone D1 yet...

Re: 2014 diesel production

I can't believe how fast some of you guys are getting built! Order to built in less than a month, some of us sat in d and d1 for 6 weeks or more.

But willx.... but aren't they the ones that then need to be converted back to right hand drive to keep up with the demand down under... as the diesel is so fantastic...

What also would be amazing would be a diesel with srt body and interior work standard

There are actually many body similarities between the SRT and the Summit.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I sit here openly weeping that my delivery day has come and gone with no movement in sight. However, there was one thing today that kept me from being too bummed. My wife and I were at the boat ramp today, and the truck in front of us dumped his boat in the middle of the boat ramp. We laughed our butts off. Feel guilty laughing at someones stupidity, but it was funny as hell. The guy didn't seem happy that I took a few pictures.
