Everybody has their own tactics. My belief is that it is best to tell the salesman upfront that you KNOW the invoice pricing, their incentives and holdbacks, and EXPECT a precalculated price that you are willing to pay. Tell them you can get these deals elsewhere. Several dealers have prearranged group buys with good pricing and you can tell your dealer you are prepared to rent a car one way and go get it.

Give them the affiliate # after they do their best. They get 2% off invoice and you can try to keep as much of that as possible...1% is guaranteed.

No, was referring to several of us waiting for our new JGC diesels to be released from the plant. Have been waiting almost a week. Milous (the man in the know here) is just trying to keep our sanity. By the way, I sent you a private message for a good deal on buying a Jeep. No negotiating, no hassle, just 5.5% below INVOICE.

Anyway, Milous mentioned before that he does not usually report "Storage" because people get panicked sometimes about it. Anyway, it is a normal part of the process and sometimes they are there for 5 minutes, sometimes they are there for 5 days.

Chevy Also pointed out that KZ (Plant Release) is kind of a transfer to the responsibility of the shipping company in ways. So without getting any more general about it, no there are still no Members I am aware of that have been Released.
Ok thanks I understand now.

I agree with this approach. I don't think it does any good to tell them later that you have the affiliate pricing.

One advantage to the affiliate rewards program is the dealer is required to show you the original invoice.

When the vehicle was ordered, my dealer showed me a copy of the Purchase Order, which looks a lot like the invoice. I had already agreed to the % below invoice as well as the amount for any additional dealer fees.

Be very precise about the other dealer charges. If one dealer gives you 7% below invoice with a $1,500 doc fee and another dealer gives you 5% below invoice with a $0 doc fee then the 5% below is better than the 7% below deal... I heard one dealer added a dealer installed option without consulting the customer. Another way for "Additional Dealer Markup".

If I get around to it I will post an edited copy of my Purchase Order. So you know what to look for...

My VOTS finally shows "Final Inspection". Based on the fact that VOTS is always lagging behind or wrong, I'm assuming I'll hit KZ (shipment) anytime.

Thanks Willx and Milous. Thanks for affirming I'm not losing my mind. BTW, just checked VOTS and I'm in paint!

Shannon, Would you be so kind as to give me the same information about the 5.5% below invoice pricing? Thanks.

I said that a week ago...still sitting in a bay. I am guessing ours will both ship the same day. Hopefully today
