1: I'm tellin' ya, that 3.0 pulls just like a Hemi!

2: The Hemi's almost twice as big, no way a 3.0 diesel does that!

1: Tell ya what, let's take one out to the track and we'll see.

2: Okay, we can take that silver one that was stuck in the paint booth!

Or,

It looks like a '98 5.9. Since they're usually getting up there in mileage, a common swap is to replace the factory 249 f/t tc for a 242, hence no front wheel spin and the tires are smokin'!

My original 249 lasted about 95K miles before it started showing signs of needing some attention (probably the vc) during a trip to Sedona on the rocks.

Oh come on. Like I don't ever hear that Hemi growling.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I promised I would upload a sample "Priced Order Confirmation" it is the pre-build counterpart to the invoice. So here it is. I have smudged out the items my dealer may not want showed. If you are part of Chrysler's Affiliate rewards program you get to see this and/or the invoice which looks similar...

Re: 2014 diesel production

I'm curious about one thing though on my "Priced Order Confirmation". What does "Zone 66-Orlando" mean? I was surprised that my zone wouldn't have been Tampa. Does this represent the train? Is there one place in Central Florida where the train unloads cars from?

BTW a very exciting day on JG. Can't wait to see what happens with all these CRD's.

EDIT: On MOTS I see a Tampa Train and an Orlando Train. So, does "Zone 66-Orlando" mean, for whatever reason, my dealers deliveries come through Orlando?

I'm sure it won't be possible for many reasons but I would love to see my car come off the train. I've used Amtrak's Auto Train before and seen my car come off that. It can take hours to unload all the cars.

OK, I'm confused. I can't tell if my sarcasm/joke meter needs recalibration or what. When I first read this, I assumed it was meant purely as humor. But most of the followups seem to have been serious.

Seems odd that they'd intentionally hold back delivery to avoid paying out $500 coupons, and odder still that they'd admit it. And the free extended warranty despite saying there's no such testing?

This was a joke, right?

I see cars delivered to Tampa, Miami, Orlando, and Jacksonville by train.

For us, there are only two destinations in California from what I can tell. Benicia, and Mira Loma.

Everyone that ordered a CRD on day 1 (8/9) is D1 and from the posts tonight, it sounds like many will hit Inspection on MOTS on the next update.

Kazii's Auburn Summit is somewhere...D1 but not documented. Might be in the shipping yard by now.
