Chip, I'll check for yours. I just threw that one out there. No hunch. So I figured it didn't belong.

That is a street that runs into the West side of the JNAP perimeter. The street turns into a drive that continues into the plant. Along that drive to the North you will see rows of Jeeps, end to end, in Satellite View. Also notice the railcars immediately to the West.

So the question is: is this the "Charlevoix Yard" where our beloved CRDs are sitting?

Charlevoix doesn't run thru JNAP.. Charlevoix goes into the old Budd plant which is next door. Chrysler bought the property, but hasn't done anything with it. It's only being used for the storage capacity. That's mainly where shipping is done in the area.. There's another lot just down Connor intersecting Kercheval.. Holds quite a few cars too. When you go KZ, your Jeep goes to one of these 2 lots.

There are definitely some at Charlevoix... Just still haven't seen a KZ yet (from the JG) and as noted earlier on they are usually there to ship. So that was the part I didn't exactly get...

But more and more seem to keep going there!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Confused why they won't release the built CRD's. On MOTS there is a non-diesel that was ordered the same day, went into production later than mine, was in inspection almost 2 weeks after mine, and is now released from the plant. Are they just testing our patience and sanity, or is there more to the story?
Or still at the track? (Indy or Daytona by now)

That Yard is only very temporary Storage so I can only assume they will be released soon.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I visited the General Manager of my dealer today armed with the knowledge I've gained from this forum. I asked him if there was anything he could do about the soon to expire cash incentive and he said he would "see what he could do". I then mentioned most folks on this forum were paying 1 to 5% below Invoice for their CRDs and I wasn't happy with my deal. He dropped a $1000 off the purchase price I'd negotiated when I placed the order August 12th stating he wanted me to be a "happy" customer. Thanks guys

That's bc Charlevoix yard is storage and shipping.. It's divided. Everything that goes there is NOT going to be shipping 'soon.' Which makes it ideal. It's accessible to the plant, yet big enough to hold every NAFTA CRD we've built so far. All the while providing enough space for the other cars to ship.

The other yard (Kercheval) is owned by Cassens. They put whatever they want over there. All makes. But currently it's full of our stuff as well.
