Re: 2014 diesel production

I may have missed it, but has anyone seen a window sticker as to what the gas mileage is supposed to be on the diesel? I remember reading expected figures but haven't seen any "hard" numbers.

Can I send the VON to Milous for tracking or do I need to wait for the VIN?
YEAH!!! Placed my order yestarday afternoon and just got the email from VOTS with my VIN! "Currently, we're processing your order..." Does that mean I'm in Pre-release?

So at least I know that the dealer put my email in correctly and that my order is in the system.

The VOTS link from the email doesnt seem to be working though When I click on it it's stuck on "Loading......."

Yes. The first VOTS email is pre-release. The VOTS link won't come up until the 2nd email is sent, usually within a week or two later at 7:30 EST...then you will be D1 - Production Scheduled.

Thanks. The wait begins.... I'm way behind everybody here! Looks like most people placed orders when banks opened on 8/9. Doesn't seem like many people have ordered after the initial surge?

My guess is yours will be built and shipped the same time as the rest of ours, as they are sitting on them. Mine has been in inspection since 8/27, and the technical build date is 8/17.

LMAO. Anything that will help "squeeze" mine out of the plant wound be great. Just don't want to think of mine as a giant turd, but with all the paint, I may have to reserve judgement

Is that due to the August allocation being depleted? I suspect many dealer's allocated stock orders where used to fill customers orders since they already "had a place in line" with the stock order.

"The Line" has been running 20% (maybe) CRDs recently so folks are buying them...and JNAP ("the Jeep factory") is building up a huge inventory to unleash on us ANY DAY NOW (overly optimistic).

I think the VOTS system is down right now.
It's not loading for me right now either.

As soon as I got my First Email the VOTS link in the email worked. Otherwise, why would they send it to you...

Re: 2014 diesel production

My guess is it's either an accounting thing or a P.R. thing holding up the shipping. It must be tied to the start of the 4th quarter, 1 Oct.

Correct. My bad....I remember, I was trying to login to VOTS before the 1st email. It does work after the 1st email. Of course that was a thousand VOTS checks ago....

For what it's worth my dealer (large dealer in NYC area) ordered 3 diesels (all Summits I believe) when banks first opened in August. All three are dealer orders, not customer orders. None has gone to D1 yet and none has been reserved by a customer. All three show "D" stage in the dealer's system (is that "pre-release"?)

My order is the first customer order for a Diesel they received... Which would lead me to believe that demand for diesels (at least here in NYC area) is not that high

They also gave me 3% below invoice with little haggling - that probably confirms they don't have a lot of customers for the diesel.
