Re: 2014 diesel production

It looks like 44mpg is on the EU cycle. Translated to US would probably be at 36mpg give or take. Still not bad for a vehicle that size

I would have thought your order was penned in gold ink with and hand delivered to the factory.

For everyone else concerned about going to D1, don't panic, I think they will get all of the initial orders built before releasing any of them. My speculation is that they want a huge release at the same time or just before a national media blitz. They want these things in every corner of every state, so when the media blitz hits, we will all be there with our CRD's and be able to show the general public how awesome they are. You think there is a wait for them now, just wait till ours are released, and the media blitz hits - there will be a total buying frenzy.

I may raise eyebrows here occationally but I like to keep a pretty low profile in the outside world.

Most of the time they do.... and in a dealer with a large allotment they do. Not when the allotment is fixed to a certain number of engines over a certain time though.

We are also being used as the early wave in ChryMoCo's diesel push. The Ram 1500 CRD is going to be more popular in the long run. The 300 might sell well also.

The EU cycle must be 55 mph downhill both ways! Did anyone else notice the RR's 3.0 CRD makes 308hp? That's 103hp per liter. The Bluespark tuner box claims to make 300hp from our VM 3.0 and 10% increased economy. Maybe we'll see 36 mpg also.

There are really good numbers in the CRD tuning thread..I think it was low to mid 30s, mostly without the 8 speed tranny

Off topic a bit...does the CRD have remote start? I was under the impression this was not possible in a Diesel, but have heard otherwise....

VOTS is back again, I was able to log in finally. What does "Production Scheduled" mean?
