If the plan all along was to delay the delivery then they could have put dates that corresponded. I guess the orders on the 15th of January weren't considered a new release even with two brand new transmissions and all the other cosmetic changes. They mostly seemed to go from Built to plant release in a day or two. Some did sit in inspection for a long time but not most. All the CRD's built on MOTS have not gone to KZ. The three earliest deliveries on MOTS in February went from Built to KZ in 1 or 3 days. No QC issue or volume build up there.

I am not concerned by the delays in shipping built vehicles; I am just curious. Just as we were all curious of all the delays that took us to the 8/9 order date.
People said the delay was the EPA; I still don't know for sure and will never know.

Until they ship we are going to continue to wonder why they haven't.
I don't even have time to respond to this the way I want to, but I guess that's a good thing. But I will say that your facts are more than a little off, and bc you think that things work in a way that they don't, or went a way that they didn't, I can understand why you think there's a problem/delay this time around.. If you had better info abt what really happened back in January, then you'd see this launch as more of the same. But I promise I won't waste any more time posting "generic" answers. Or even facts. Hell maybe I'll just pull a Marlon and disappear for a while and let you guys entertain each other elaborate theories. Guess that's better than 'generic' facts.. I digress. Carry on in speculation. I've got work to do.

Chevy,

I don't think anyone wants to criticize you for what you can or cannot talk about, and I certainly respect that there are many things you cannot discuss.

Of course we all get a little anxious from time to time and sometimes say things simply because of the desire to know more.

Personally I believe your "generic" answers are much more information than the group would have about this should you not be here.

Hope you have a good day!

It's not abt that. I've been criticized since I joined here. Wasn't until ppl found my rumblings to be true that they began to trust me. Most of those ppl already have their Jeeps now.

Currently there's nothing going on that's 'classified' in relation to this vehicle. It's common practice to build cars and sit on em to make sure that nothing comes up that would cause an immediate recall. EVERYBODY does it. I just saw a truckload of Stingrays at a truckstop in Ohio yesterday. Driver said he had the second load coming out of Bowling Green. (He coulda been lying to make himself look important, idk.) But do you know how long dealers have had THOSE things on order!?? Do you know when production of that car REALLY began? (Not you in particular.. I'm just saying)

What they tell you all and what actually happens are not the same! We've never launched a car and began shipping em 2 weeks later. That's ridiculous. Lol.. In the original '14 launch we began building cars and had a MAJOR problem, and NOT ONE had to be brought back from a dealer, bc we sat on them! THAT'S the point. It was an example of the system working.. Durango. Same thing. It probably was closer to 3 weeks than a month. But the Durango really wasn't a new venture. All the "bugs" were worked out in the WK launch... The CRD is another true launch. And I guarantee more CRD NAFTA pilots were built than Durangos.. For anyone to think that we're gonna just build em and start loading into rail cars is an old-Chrysler practice. It's just reckless.

For every QC complaint on this forum there's 5 more ppl bitchin abt getting their car faster. You just can't have it both ways. So when I say what the deal is, I'm not pulling s*** out of my ass. I know this place. It's marketing and it's QC. Nothin more, nothin less.. As many times as I've leaked info before, if there was sumn going on, why the hell wouldn't I tell y'all now!?

Chevy,

I meant in more general terms in regards to all of your comments.... I know you provide good info and needing to repeat yourself is moderately annoying!

Thanks for taking the time, I didn't think there were any major delays and possibly my original guess on the start of the KZ bunch still may hold true

Thanks for the insight. I think that many of us are on edge because we want to get the additional $500 knocked off of the vehicle we have been trying to buy for months and months...by getting it shipped by Monday.

For most of us, this is the second time we've missed the $500 incentive though no fault of our own.

Hey Chevy,

You probably don't get thanked nearly enough for your comments and the information you provide. Thank you. Also thanks for confirming that unicorns are real.
