Hmmm, like Shannon said, his delivery date was 9/6. I'm 9/14, but I'm glad my jeep didn't come to Denver this week, because it would have floated away. Plus once it gets off the train in Denver it has to make another trek into the mountains. I'm thinking those logistics will delay it a bit as well. I'm on vacation for the next week, so delivery later in the month is better for me anyway. Maybe the floods will subside, and they won't have to test the 20 inch water fording capability before it makes it to my local dealer...

Yep, that is the stuff we need to see. But they need to also show that it hasn't lost any of the sport in the ute.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Wouldn't hurt to say it could use the oil from Alaska.

Whine whine moan whine Meanwhile you oil-burner freak fans have probably so glommed up the production queue that my ordered gas-guzzling Hemi Overland will probably sit in 'D' status for another month

I've been lurking behind the scene for about a month and thought it was time to step forward.

I agree that AUDI has a great ad and that Jeep needs to get creative with their adverts.

I put a $1K deposit down when I ordered my diesel Overland (Granite Crystal/Black, ATG/ORA II & block heater) on afternoon of 8/9. My dealer provided the VON on 8/12 and the VIN EC29998X on 8/15. Also got my first email from VOTS on 8/15. No other action or comms until 9/9 when my dealer advised est'd ship date of 9/28. Also received my second email from VOTS on 9/9 advising my JGC was scheduled for production.

Looking forward to being able to inspect and review diagnostic print out before accepting the vehicle. After that, will be having a baseplate and supplemental turn signals, tail & brake lights installed so I can tow with 4 wheels down behind my motorhome.

Make sure you choose a Brake System for your JGC 4x4. I have a diesel pusher and am going with "Air Force One". I feel, any motorhome with air brakes should use it. Not using a brake system is illegal in most states including Louisiana.

EDIT ADDITIONS: Also, remember to read the entire section in the owners manual about recreational towing. Since you will have Quadra-lift, you need to start your engine periodically, while towing, to bring the ride height back to normal. Once you start the vehicle you just have to wait until the lights stop blinking for regular ride height, then turn it off. Shouldn't be more than a few seconds. edit: (You might even be able to do this from inside the motorhome maybe even while moving with the autostart, that would be cool.) (Nothing like the Fords where you are supposed to run them for 5 minutes to lubricate and cool the transmission.)

One more thing you should know, the early editions of the Owners Manual were completely wrong as far as the instructions to put the transfer case into neutral. Look at the Edition of your manual, it should be on the back page. The current Edition online is the "Fourth Edition". Here is a link: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee OWNER’S MANUAL

I believe there are still things wrong about the instructions; I have been told the messages displayed regarding going into (transfer case) neutral is one.

One last thing, the coolest thing about the 2014 JGC is there is no steering wheel lock, so no need to leave a key in the vehicle...

Hey Chivalry, your ride is in the Woodhaven Yard. Everyone else is in the Charlevoix Yard. Maybe they are filling up....its time to start shipping.

If Chivvalry's Jeep is in Woodhaven, then they've already begun shipping. Bc Woodhaven is halfway to Toledo. Abt 30 miles away from JNAP.

I drove by there Thursday evening on the way back up I-75. You can see that yard from the interstate.. There wasn't anything over there but Rams.. Which means this move must have happened yesterday or earlier today.

Hmmm. It did say it was leaving tonight but no KZ so I still think it will sit for a couple of days just like the Rangos did
