Well, today is my revised delivery date. I am anxiously awaiting a call from my dealer....I'm sure Marlon and Chevy are sneaking them out the backdoor onto the train without KZ status in order to surprise us.....

Still can't believe that they have not revised mine. It's kind of obvious that mine won't be delivered 11 days ago

It isn't updated because there is not one... I think the problem is if Milous actually deleted estimated deliveries when they magically disappeared, changed, showed up in 2020 or other bizarre things from the system there would be mutiny on the Good Ship JeepGarage.

When there is no update, it would take Milous way too much time to explain every single time that the date did something weird, that he wouldn't have time to keep up on the important things we all value. You guys/girls are all way more informed about the shipping process than about 90% of the rest of the site because you are getting all of this amazing up to date info from Chevy and I think that is the best gauge right now.

Once the new estimated deliveries are actually updated, Milous will post them to the Tracking Thread, but to be honest, 11 Days ago would still be the most current info .

Mine was one of the first 2 that went D1, one of the first couple built...and has NEVER had an estimated delivery date.

Diesel is pretty easy to find - much more so than many (used to) think. There are no different grades of DinoDiesel, however there are varying degrees of BioDiesel out there that are denoted by a "B" with a number following it: B5 = 5% BioDiesel, B20 = 20% BioDiesel. I am personally a huge fan of BioDiesel, but I acknowledge that it does sap a few % off of your MPG, so if you were to run B100 on a JGC 4x4, you would see 28 instead of 29. For me, that is a price I am willing to pay for smoother running (it is) and non-Paleo/Jurassic based Fuel.

As far as Station recommendations go: You do NOT want to be the only one filling up at that station every other week- ie turnover matters. Stuff does grow in stagnant diesel fuel, and that will clog your filter faster than sugar. Use stations that have constant diesel traffic, and refrain from pumping when a tanker is "reloading" - a good rule of thumb regardless of fuel choice.

Once you go TurboDiesel...

This is based on my experience in manufacturing. It may not be accurate.

The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software probably is antiquated. This is not uncommon.

All of Chrysler's Tier suppliers have good MES systems because they HAVE to in order to meet Chrysler's Just In Time (JIT) requirements and avoid penalties.

The problem is that the dealers are Chrysler's customer and there is no penalty for late shipment or shortages (that I know of)....so Chrysler has little external incentive to improve their data. The only exception is in the MES scheduling and parts procurement, which is important in keeping the line running.

Mine is the first garage member diesel off the line with a build date of 8/28. Just getting frustrated that 3 weeks later it sits in a parking lot. I know with new releases it takes time, and I know the reasons why. I'm just frustrated, and need to vent. Hopefully they will ship soon.

Great, I happen to live in Chicago, looks like I will have to live with it- you gotta love Chicago, I get the privilege of paying the highest prices in the country for what sounds like the worst fuel.

Re: 2014 diesel production

In Illinois...they give tax breaks to gas stations that serve up Biodiesel B11 and higher blends. That is why its so pervasive.
There are definitely stations that serve up pure diesel. You just need to look/ask around. They are definitely the minority but they are often the busiest stations. Just Google "non-biodiesel stations" and you will find them.

I have not found any pure diesel fuel and I have been every where for the past year if it is in Illinois I must be missing it I even called around. .... also my bmw requires b5 or better which is offered no where all I see is a biodiesel blend of b15-b20. The best biodiesel I have found range wise is at mobil

If you are ever in Lincolnshire, IL, check out Ernie's. In Volo, IL there is a Phillips 66 that sells non-biodiesel.
