I am so hoping that you are right. My question is why did Jeep change my shipping date to 10/4 if I was one of the first off the line?

For the record, I have never seen anywhere that your Jeep will ship that day. That *could* have been the day they think it will arrive at the dealer and or the distribution yard.

I called Jeep customer service yesterday, and their exact words were "I see a shipping date of 10/4 for your Grand Cherokee" Still hope you are right, but if history dictates anything, I am not getting my hopes too high, just be be let down again like yesterday, and last month, and ........

By the way, I see that yours does not say you are in Charlevoix Yard (I thought that is where yours is sitting). According to Chevy, it sounds like those will be the first to ship.

Charlevoix is on the same property technically, but it says mine is at "Jefferson" still... It is in a parking space and has not moved in the last week or so.

Woodhaven is the lot you are thinking of and it is not actually at the factory and that is where Chivvalry is located. That is the Lot that Chevy figured would move first.

The problem is that there are so many of them, they have taken them all to their loading or shipping point. Mine is not going on a rail car and that is why it is where it is. Most of the ones at Charlievoix appear to be taking a train out of town.

2nd that. There are not many things more expensive for them than a recall. I am sure they would rather keep us waiting than release a product that may need recalled.

So what/where is the "Avi - Vls Java Yard, MI"? Looks like mine and marke are the only ones in that yard of the JG builds

Re: 2014 diesel production

So I have an interesting question to ask...

This diesel thread has probably had more access to more information on the moment to moment happenings with your builds than probably the great majority of prior JeepGarage Members.... Stuff like the Meaning of JS and where your vehicles are and actually when they were traveling down the line.

Do you think that has been a help or a hindrance? I guess I am asking if feeding all of your anxiety about what is happening now and or possibly next, has that made this experience better or worse for you...?

I thought about this the other day, that maybe being in the dark like the rest of the world, not knowing my vehicle actually completed inspection and or maybe even knowing it was built may have been good.

So is Ignorance bliss, or is MOTS that high that just keeps you running until that truck arrives at your dealer?

Opinions please!

Thanks
Will,

Re: 2014 diesel production

Knowledge is power... The fact this is even possible has made me a much bigger jeep fan as of recent! I have been a GM guy my whole life (even worked there a short bit of time) and this site and insider info has helped me tremendously with getting to the absolutely obsessed state I am now in.

That also appears to be slightly off site, they just drink more coffee there. I *believe* that is more to do with the space issue.

That is purely speculation though as I see Marke has a destination better served being with other vehicles...

Maybe we need to add a satellite view app?

What did they say was your delivery date? The most uninformed people I have talked with were the CHrysler people on the phone.
