Either that or they're taking the "long way 'round" from JNAP to Taylor (or whatever yard/staging area they're using).
There are none of your guy's trucks there... It is chalk full of Cherokees though!

No JG Member has been assigned a rail car or pickup yet that I can see, but I am watching closely... Almost time for Milous to come online.

And the SRT8 puts 465hp+ ft/lbs into the frame... so no, that isn't the reason at all.

I was just trying to reconcile the fact that Chevy said that he saw with his own eyes that Elvis has left the building on a skittles-powered unicorn, yet MOTS wasn't showing anything. So I was theorizing that they were moved to another staging location but the data about that movement was delayed or missing.

Just more idle speculation to occupy my time. As a side-note, VOTS seems to be back up now (I was also getting the spinning wheel of death all morning, but now it's reporting (and it's now caught up to MOTS and shows mine is in inspection)).

I like the idea of speculation... as you guys have seen I am human and I make mistakes so when you guys come up with suggestions it usually causes me to double check stuff.

Sometimes you guys forget I am just as caught up in this as you, so even if someone has a silly question I run and recheck stuff because .... you never know.

Anyway Taylor Yard was a good idea and totally possible so not silly at all.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Just got the build sheet for mine (thanks Milous!). Unfortunately it looks like the engine block heater didn't make it. My dealer added it the day after I went pre-release (8/14) but that was long before it went to D1 (9/7). I thought changes could be made up until D1.

Anyway, it seems most people say "it's just the plug", so it would seem like that should be easy to get from the dealer but I recall Chevy saying that doing it after the factory could be problematic. Anybody know how easy/hard it is to add this?

I don't think it was problematic...just a pain in the butt to route the cord. I should have probable got one for good measure but the longest it will sit in the cold outside will be at work and there are no plugs.

Not sure on the diesel, I don't believe it will be an issue. It's been the SRT that has been tough to add it later, due to the tight engine bay.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I know of two instances in the past, one involving GM, where a very large order from a major customer disrupted the normal delivery channels.

8/28 - called customer service, they advised parts had been scheduled. VOT shows confirmed.

8/30 - called customer service, no change in status. VOT shows confirmed

9/9 - dealer advised est'd ship date of 9/28. Also received my second email from VOTS advising my JGC was scheduled for production. VOT says production confirmed.

9/17 - called customer service, they confirmed est'd ship date of 9/28 with ETA at Port Allen Louisiana rail yard of 10/3. VOT says production confirmed.

9/27 - received my third email advising my vehicle was in production. VOT shows my vehicle is in paint.
9/30 - VOT status jumped this morning from PAINT to FINAL INSPECTION. Customer Service comment du jour is that my JGC has been built but I won the lottery and selected for 100% inspection. Lucky me! They cannot tell me how long inspection will take but that my Port Allen ETA is still 10/5. Cannot get a window sticker for my VIN. Sounds fishy but smells more like BS......

Who knows? Maybe it's actually true and ALL diesels go through 100% inspection at this point...

Everyone seems to be getting this standard excuse. Obviously there is no reason to contact customer non-service. No need for me to get a canned answer.
I will trust in MOTS, Willx, and Chevy, but no one else until my dealer calls me to come pick up my big blue baby! That reminds me, I need to pick up diesel diapers!
Edit: To add Willx to list!

Re: 2014 diesel production

My build sheet lists "NHAP Engine Oil Cooler" I thought it was determined there is no engine oil cooler?
