Re: 2014 diesel production

I guess if there is no EPA information, there is no Monroney sticker and cannot be shipped. I hope that is not the case for you guys. Who knows when the EPA is back to normal staffing.

Nautiboy,

To put it very simply, Milous said the 2 statements you made (2 and 3) were correct because they are straight forward statements with uncomplicated answers. The other statements are more complex and some items mixing with the recall, which causes no tangible delays.

So either the statement is 100% true and therefore correct or not 100% therefore incorrect.

It took longer than I expected (I posted that on 9/12), but it eventually happened.

I thought that's what I was saying (e.g., that there were things that needed to be fixed, but those weren't going to cause delays).

So I guess I haven't quite gotten the precise wording yet.

Oh well, I think we're basically "close enough" to what's going on.

It seems the salient point is still that there's something holding up the release which is not related to any fixes. And as soon as that gets resolved, they should start shipping. Whether or not there's some other fix/update that needs to be done is mostly irrelevant, at least in terms of diesel KZ. And likely the issue will get resolved "soon" though not this week.

And while we're needlessly pontificating, and since the EPA theory has been trotted out again, I found it interesting that one of the codes (JE) is specifically: "shipped to emissions". Maybe there's another reason Milous never posts any of the codes between "I" and "KZ".

Totally. Adding insult to injury is getting an email from Jeep with a certificate # for $500 bonus cash allowance on a vehicle in which delivery has to be taken by 10/19.

My new theory for public consumption is that they found out that, through an act of bovine intervention, the leather in the vehicles was still alive and are negotiating with the ASPCA on humane ways to deal with it.

(The "mooing" seat thread is a wealth of information)

Re: 2014 diesel production

No "not the EPA" from the people in the know. That tells me that is what the hold up is. Hopefully the government shutdown ends soon so we can get our unicorns out of the diesel zone.

Humane ways to deal with it? Those must be the happiest cows on the planet - they have built-in heating and cooling! Not to mention that many owners will periodically caress them with lotions. What a life!

Don't forget that woman are attracted to the JGC's so some mighty fine assets are perched on those seats too.

The first part gets the "ding" "ding" "ding"

So to answer the rest of it, 98% of all CRDs that were in the US/Canada Track are JS (Ship to Storage). Less than 2% were in Inspection and Less than 1% were on a truck from a yard to another yard. 0% were in any sort of repair facility including JE.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I seriously hope we will find out after this grueling and inhumane torture session ends exactly what the hold up was.
