Was this a one way conference call. Meaning, no one had the ability to ask the question: "any information of the diesel?"

Or was the response to that question, "we have no information on the diesel."

Why can't they throw us a bone. Give us a reason for the delay or better yet have an actual press release as to the date we can order.

Soon Jeep will be permanently soured in my mind and I will order a Ford Explorer EcoBoost or Another option and that will be the end of that.

The Diesel is available for ordering in Canada for the Grand Cherokee. I am being told that the Diesel ordering for trucks will be up in a week or so as they are still working out bugs in the ordering system.

The upgrade price for the Diesel in Canada is $7145 from the V6 for the Grand Cherokee.

You are only partially correct. Yes you can order it in Canada but it still gets loaded into the order cycle in the US. Go ask your Dealer to order one, it will come up as "BE" immidiately and this is a code and or build error that means that it cannot be built until fixed.

New RAM will be the exact same thing because the 2013 build out hasen't finished. Not saying the Canadian Dealer lied to you but they didnt tell you how it really works in detail..... Trust me I know of Diesel on order in Canada since January and they aren't any closer to being built that the US bound ones.

Also I expect the US ones will be deliever ahead of the Canadian ones regardless of the greater demand for Diesel in Canada simply becasue the allotment numbers need to line up with JNAP build capacties.

Sorry for being vague on details.

I was not stating that the Diesel was in production for Canada, I was simply stating that orders are able to be entered like any other Grand Cherokee model regardless of build status. The reason for the order going to BE is because it is not available for immediate scheduling.

As for Ram, the only thing showing that it may be available sooner is the fact that the engine has a availability date in the newsletter whereas the Grand Cherokee has none..

Will let you guys know when I am able to order Ram 1500's with the diesel or when I get any more information on availability for the Grand Cherokee's.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Chevy Colorado pickup with the 4-Cylinder DURAMAX diesel will probably make it out before we see the 3.0 VM Motori in the RAM or the GC.

I think I'll pick one of those up instead...the money I save should be able to pay for all the repairs needed on the rest of the truck.

Maybe they'll even put it in the Terrain.

Who's with me?

Though I like the concept... pretty sure the Terrain would just bend under the pressure of the torque.

Canyon/Colorado sure..... baby duramax.

The torque would be around 360 foot pounds.

It's all making sense now to me after seeing this picture. Big Foot (not officially proven) and a Jeep diesel (not officially proven it exists either).

Well.... the media don't drive all around town with bigfoot all the time then you go to the amusement park and they tell you he doesn't exist... that would be a closer comparison

Who is good with editing images?

Please edit the following picture to remove the bigfoot and replace it with "Jeep Diesel" emblem.

Thanks.
