Of course. Wouldn't be a load of crap unless they told this to me. Thank god for people like you who actually know what is going on.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Did Milous delete another post or am I just mis-remembering the who/where of the post? In the past couple days I saw a post saying that one of the roadblocks to the diesel release was taken care of. I thought it was Milous and was in this thread. I was looking back to see if the date on the post was around the date that the CARB cert went through, but I can't seem to find the post.

One other thing I'm curious about - if it's the EPA that's holding things up, why does it seem that basically all JGC shipments are currently being held (based on Chevy's observations and a report from someone's dealer)? Obviously the gassers have already passed ... unless Jeep tweaked the ECU or something related to the emissions that required a re-cert...

I wonder if we're still dealing with multiple issues. In one of Chevy's posts, I seem to recall him saying something about if the EPA cert was the ONLY issue ... implying that might be one of the issues but not the only one.

But back to the CARB thing - yeah, as someone else pointed out, if the CARB cert was just issued, it seems there was poor planning/management on that front since they wouldn't be able to ship without that and I don't think that can be blamed on the federal govt shutdown.

He said this at 7:00AM Pacific time on the 3rd. The question is, is this part of the "one reason why they are not shipping." or one of the resolved reasons.

I am assuming, of course, this is / was one of the holdups.

Willx, I don't want you to think I am putting you on the spot; I'm just analyzing the available information.

I'm not sure ALL shipments are held. My gas Overland built last Friday, went KZ Saturday, and got loaded on a railcar today. Now, it did disappear for a day or so (departed facility, then no updates for over a day), but reappeared today on the railcar.

My estimated delivery did wonk out for a bit. It started as 10/14, then changed to 10/18 after build, then back to 10/16 after KZ, and now it's all the way back to 10/14 again. Eh...who knows...

Also, regarding this document. California does have the most stringent requirements for emissions in the country; (in case anyone didn't know.) This would suggest there is no problem with the emissions systems.

Last paragraph 1st page shows Chrysler paying $350 per vehicle sold in California for 12 deficiencies found in the the OBDII System of the listed vehicle models. Hmm.... Sounds like government bureaucracy to me. Come on CA, they passed your emission tests, what more? I hope CJD passes along the fees to California residence only. (No offense to Californians, but this stuff boils my blood)

$2,800 per vehicle ($350 per vehicle for the fifth through twelfth deficiencies).

The big question now is....... Do we have to wait for the Feds to open for business?

I don't think that's the case.

Yes, let's all contribute to Kalifornia...the most financially irresponsible state in the America. That affects Chrysler's bottom line which of course is passed on to all consumers. And, no, I really DON'T care if they are the 6th largest economy in the world. Broke is broke.

Yeah that's the post I was thinking of. I thought it was Milous but it was Willx. And I guess you had the same idea about correlating the date of the carb to the post.

Ouch. That's painful. Interestingly, if you look at the latest Mercedes Glk diesel, they're getting fined too though there were only 6 deficiencies and $100 per.
