I wouldn't get your hopes too high...

I think you are thinking about a re-map. The chips are completely independant and can be removed at anytime without a trace. One of thier major selling points. All they do is intercept and adjust electrical signals to and from the ECU and components. Once you remove it, everything acts 100% OEM.

He says Chrysler told them they are now ready to ship and mine is scheduled to go out on the 11th( of October). I don't know if that is bullshit but maybe I'll have my jeep by the end of next week seeing as Detroit to Toronto is only about 400km.
Then again, since we are talking about skittle farting unicorns, it might be the 11th of October 2014.
Why don't we get some honest eyes on that vehicle. PM me the last 8 digits of your VIN and I will take a look.

I am normally very wise to these things (going from custom ECU in my Subaru to a Superchips tuner on my old Dodge but I am curious about the Bluespark....they specifically talk about this in the owners manual so I am curious as to what they can actually see.

Discussed at length here:

Anyone tuned a CRD yet?

I have read through 95% of the thread....I guess I should be more clear about whether or not CDJ can see if the Bluespark is detectable if removed for maintenance(going to lease initially)

If not able to see if removed then this is on my short list of mods (air filter is the other)

Can't remember where but the general consensus was not. Once removed from the system there is no trace.

It looks to be in a yard with a bunch of other CRDs.... I am exploring this further.

The only positive thing about our diesels being delayed is it gives me time to sell my car. Apparently an Audi TT is considered a summer car here in Michigan. So if anyone knows anyone looking for an all wheel drove second generation TT let me know.

What's the upper limit on the Transmission?

I also received a call form my dealer saying 10/11 for shipment, but, I don't believe it for a second.

At this rate, I think all they really did was take my cash, build a Hemi and slap some EcoDiesel stickers on and then shoved it into Inspection Hell hoping I forget about it or that it passes some deadline in fine print whereas my deposit is forfeit.

As for the "Sorry we screwed this up big time" nod from Jeep. I don't have much faith they will do anything of the sort. Right now they are offering 0% APR for 36 months, but you have to take ownership by 11/4. Anyone care to guess that they won't roll until 11/5? We'll all probably get a bonus cash offer for $500 again as well that expires the day they ship.

*grumble*

Chiv, I got a set of TKC 80s sitting in the garage for you if the snow does indeed fly before you get your Jeep!

I hope these will not just be any old skittle farting unicorns, but thoroughbred skittle farting unicorns of only the best lineage when you guys finally get them.

Checking into this thread from time to time, man I feel for you guys still patiently waiting... enjoying my Jeep for 3 months now since "going Commando" back in May. The Hemi has plenty of scoot but she is a thirsty girl.
