10/17 has nothing to do with the government shutdown. That is when the US reaches its debt limit and must raise the debt ceiling. It's possible that Congress will raise the debt ceiling without reopening the government.

As far as I know, just something very very minor, unrelated to any regulation stuff.

With my luck they will start to arrive around 10/29 - just when I go out of the country for a month.

Re: 2014 diesel production

It seems like all GC shipping has slowed down or something. I look at a couple of the large dealers near me that always have well over a 100 units in stock at any given time are sitting with about 50 right now. Maybe the sales have just been that strong.

Well, Chevy did say this in another thread recently:

Quote:
Honestly, I don't think it has even left yet.. I have not seen a single car hauler in the area these last couple days, and ALL the lots are PACKED! (Assuming yours won't go by train, of course.. But I haven't seen any movement on that front either.)

As I've said before, there are more than just Jeeps and Durango's staged in those yards, but it doesn't look like anything is moving at the moment. Idk what's goin on, but again, I doubt it has even left the yard.

1700 Ecodiesels, 6 gallons of diesel per Jeep. Not enough diesel fuel in Detroit for all of ours. Having to bring in a super tanker thru the great lakes to fill all these oil burners.

I was just watching the posted video and they mentioned you can get the Summit with the trail rating as an option. No where have I read or heard that. Does any one know if this is true for sure? I've watched almost all of the Youtube videos and have seen or heard nothing to that affect.

I went D1 on September 20th, and I'm still in the queue... I hope that we are both in the next cycle of GCD's manufactured.

Ya, I noticed your name. There are two vehicles that went D1 a day after yours on Sep 21st and are built, but yours of a D1 Sep 20th isn't built yet? I thought that it was always sequential. Is it based off order date? Or maybe parts/model/options play a role?
