Re: 2014 diesel production

VINs are assigned sequentially and actually built when parts are available and in batches. The line isn't held up because one guy in five ordered a 4x2.

Chevy can address that more.

Re: 2014 diesel production

I did notice both (9/21) D1's that are built were both Summits (Jarek0423 and Rubberjeep) and the (9/20) D1 that didn't get built was a Laredo (w2kdiesel). Maybe that has something to do with it. Do they do a run of one particular trim/model at a time I wonder.

Re: 2014 diesel production

Chevy answered this a while back and I believe that the short answer version would be "no".

He did describe somewhat the system that they use. However, I remember thinking that, based on his description, any pattern seen is purely coincidence or imaginary. They use something other than voodoo and dice to determine the order that things will be produced but I am not sure what. I am sure that his reply is somewhere in a back post.

Nope, EPA approved the badges (and adhesive) back in August.

They can't figure out which set of keys goes to which JGC and have the new guy out in the yard pressing the lock button until he finds each one?

Shannon, what are you seeing diesel going for in your neighborhood. We have for $3.80 so it won't be too bad to get out unicorns fueled and on your train.

Logistics problem. They've parked so many vehicles in the lots, they're not sure how to get them out.

Or, they've been parked for so long the birds have added another layer of "paint" so now they're trying to figure out the logistics of washing 1700 vehicles.

Or they're waiting for Marlon and Chevy to sign all the JG vehicles.

Or they realized that the gas funnel doesn't work well for the diesel so now they're replacing all the funnels.

Or they decided to try and do something about the oil filter element replacement "issue" (need to wait 30+ min for the oil to drain back).

Let's see, if I just keep naming random things, eventually I should be able to hit upon the correct answer!

Re: 2014 diesel production

Or they realized that they didn't fill the Urea tanks and they don't have enough for all the ones sitting in the lots, so they're sending all the JNAP folks out to fill them "naturally".

Can I join in the guessing game?

It's not something to do with forms/documentation/copyright is it?

2014 diesel production

Does anyone know if the Summit can be badged as trail rated. I just saw a video that said it could if ordered with a certain suspension. But saw no suspension options available. I've also not seen any Summits showing trail rated badges.

Does anyone know???????????????
